Blazing car crashes into Glasgow airport

I'm getting mighty tired of these mutha****ing terrosits in our moutha****ing world.
 
What happened to the Heathrow Airport rumour? Unsubstantiated?
 
They were talking about it on BBC 24 a couple of hours ago. Sounds like nothing has come of that rumour.

It is horrible but at the same time the chances of being involved in anything like this is like winning a negative version of the national lottery, and the shock factor never fails to get the media in a hype frenzy 'Critical terror threat level' , Critcal! Warning! Terror! Critical Terror! imminent! We will protect you!.

It's more like the Madrid Bombings (which more or less caused the new Spanish President to withdraw from Iraq) to persuade Brown to give up in Iraq, rather than Brown (or Blair's leaving gift!) being involved in any conspiracy.

Thing is, looks like Brown was trying to get out of Iraq as soon as he could (e.g. appointing Dave Miliband as Foreign Sec, who has been known for being very critical of the Iraq war), but this will probably cause him to stay longer more than anything. Daft ****s.

I guess that the attack was supposed to strike close to the heart of Gordon Brown, given that he is from Scotland (born in Glasgow I think?) and represents a Scottish constituency.

You don't actually know they're Muslims at all.

They could have been hindus, or buddhists, or disgrunted scotsmen pessed oaf at th' oer-th'-toap airpot scurity.
 
Sorry, but I didn't say anything about London. I was in fact talking specifically about this Glasgow bombing.

But hey, they're right - there's no real evidence who it was regarding the London incident either!

Sure, context and recent history would suggest it's likely Islamic. I would agree. But to start talking about 'religion of peace my ass blah blah' would just be a little premature, especially when the police themselves have emphasized they don't know who it is.

SHOCK. HORROR. Some organisation I've never heard of but that you hate with a probably-irrational vitriol agrees with me. That means I'm reaching! Ignoring the bizarre distortion of logical process you display I'll just remind you that even Heinrich Himmler supported animal rights, but that doesn't actually discredit animal rights campaigners - I suspect you'll reply that they are capable of doing that all by themselves.

Glasgow... that was a silly mistake by the "terrorists".
 
Considering that a Glasgow eyewitness reported hearing one of the terrorists screaming 'ALLAH!' repeatedly, I don't think it's much of a stretch to assume that they are muslims.

Does anyone else find it hilarious that these imbeciles select a bizarre target like Glasgow and then screw up and set themselves on fire? I would have loved to have been among the onlookers, laughing and blaspheming at the top of my voice. Kirov's pics in the other thread say it all.
 
Considering the supposed caliber of Al Qaeda and the still undertermined source of imaginably large funding they recieved for pulling off the 2001 hijacks, these do indeed seem oddly incompetant on execution.

I mean they had enough money for expensive vehicles yet didn't appear to have a clue or even a penny to rub together when it came to sorting out something that had a high chance of exploding, instead they used incindiaries.

Ah, fair enough. This I did not hear. Although have you considered the possibility they were shouting "alarm!", "Aaaaaaargh!" or "Koallaaah!"?

And yes, it is highly amusing - it failed miserably so we may laugh with impunity.

Heheh, like Commandos - I had the same thought. Kudos to Smeaton, that would have had me reflexively hunting for my reload key, but the man kept his head (or 'heed').

@http://www.johnsmeaton.com/ - in one of the videos he's all like, 'Thus iz Glasgow...!' Sadly I've yet to see the 300/John Smeaton mock-up pictures materialise...
