Blood oozing out into water

i don't think that vid is recent enough to be able to tell though :( I hope they haven't toned it down as a game but i don't mind the lack of gibs or whatever. Anyways a game which includes people being chopped in two by a giant fan blade thing isn't going to be fussy about a bit of a blood effect in the water.

Actually, in the buggy vs. ant lion video, there will enough gibs for me :D Not only that, they were realistic.

well I was wondering if HL2 could produce a similar effect to what farcry does in which if a bloodied body falls into water a bloody type shader particle thing fills the space around it.. making the water murky with blood.. dont know how this is done and I was wondering if source could produce it.. its little things like these that really impress me with a game visually and would at least like to hear that this could be done via a mod. Anyone know?

You know what, you always have really good in-depth questions about HL2...good job.

What movie was it when Gabe's comp lagged? I watched all the binks and everything and I noticed NO LAG at all, everything ran smooth and perfect.

LoL MindCrafter, hah nice sig.

It was one of those little videos the students from another country video taped. Valve employee shooting at the barrel...kind of froze.

Sweet thanks, keep on tokin' tokin.

EDIT: Just tried d/ling, didn't work :(

Yeah old name, didn't wanna get a new one just because. Hardly ever smoke the juanga anymore, ever. Uh the link should work? Well it's cool because they are tiny-shaky cams, quality is bad, your not missing much.

No the link does work, but the vids don't. But I want to see this so called ''lag''.

The vid in which gabes comp "lagged" is the CS:Source one when the barrels explode from the grenade blast.

I've watched it back and baring in mind it is a demo playback which has been directed (swith to ct's and snipe moment etc) I believe it's actually a bit of slow motion kicking in from the director, not lag.

There was a previous discussion on it but if it was lag you'd expect a sudden movement after or other things to keep moving. I think the previous discussion on it was inconclusive at best.

Someone mentioned that a simple solution like the one I provided seperates prolific programmers from non-profilic ones. Since it's not implied in your post, what category do you think I fall into?
