It also helps to have a shield that recharges health. I haven't bought or used a single health pack since I started, and I've sold about every item I've come across. I'm level 29 and I have $450,000. :3

Correct, hacked chars configs move over to everybody's machine. It's frustrating to say the least. Apparently the only way to fix is to remake char.

*EDIT* I was lvl 15 with 70k bucks until I bought an awesome gun for 64k....

So today, I forwarded my ports and I could finally go online and play with other people.


And now it's not working again.
 
The game will finally unlock for me in a couple of hours. A week ago I thought I would be quite anxious at this moment, but my excite-o-meter has dipped a lot since the PC version was released in North America. The online bugs seem to be pretty prevalent and multiplayer was one of the big selling points of the game for me. Also the seemingly ported UI has made me realize that Randy Pitchford might be an enthusiastic man who can be very entertaining when he is talking about his game, but he was also full of crap on this point. The good part about all this is that I can be only pleasantly surprised if the game isn't giving me any trouble. We'll see. I will probably properly play it on Saturday.
 
I'm sure the ported UI will get resolved, considering the shit storm they are getting for it.

Also, the random bugs that are out will get squashed in time. I didn't have much of any issue getting the game up and running. Give it a shot and PLAY WITH ME DAMNIT.
 
Hehehe no worries, I will be probably be playing it all weekend.
 
I had 120k after lbl20 but due to Mad Mel I only have 40k now :(
 
most money I ever had was like $30k. also i will start selling stuff more often, I just hate have only 10 slots
 
I got to play this a bit yesterday and today... level 15 hunter! I really didn't like it after yesterday but today it grew on me. Snipin' machine from far away and a shotgun for the messy stuff. :p
 
For some reason the online works again... I was able to play online and with some friends.


Jesus, you level up 3 times as fast when you enter a game with the big boys.
 
I'm pretty sure you can't use AA, because I'm pretty sure this game uses deferred rendering like Bioshock did.

Also I found the most amazing shotgun ever. You need to be level 31 to use it. 190x9 damage, +187% damage, 58.6 accuracy, and a 3.4x scope. Be jealous. [edit] And the best part is, I found it at level 27. I almost sold it by accident at level 30 too.

Also sorry for not playing with you earlier ZT, I was in an epic mission :(

Same. Just played for a couple of minutes. It looks great, the guns feel good, sounds are nice as well, it runs smooth as butter, but the UI is idd clunky, port forwarding ftl and is it me or is the mouse super sensitive?

Is it possible to play the game in windowed mode at all?
 
21 levels in the first day, I got it installed at about 6pm yesterday and played for 12 hours, and a lot more today... really enjoying this shit. Ren not that I know of but there is an ini file with config and stuff you can edit, although you will have to hunt around in the gcfs to do it I expect.

Soldier, almost on Level 8. Game is really great, I'm glad I have all night tomorrow. :D
 
I am level 17 & have just entered the Mine.

I found my first Rocket Launcher & so I of course went back into the crystal cave & owned everyone. I had to go back & kick some ass, as they kicked mine for 4 levels & $20k in re-spawn fee's. Boy did it feel good. While getting the mine key, I got a Sniper rifle that fires rounds that explode on impact... Whoa! My new favorite toy!

Last week alone, I worked just over 23 hrs overtime & when I got my check today, I saw they had only paid me for 13. Boy was I pissed, as I had a feeling something like this was going to happen. So much overtime, that Uncle Sam even took a huger than normal part. I have to go back to work in 8 hrs, but I had to get in an hour playtime to help get my mind off things.

God.. I really enjoy playing this game.

I just updated my video card (8800GT) and the physics run a little bit better now. i shot a brute or whatever you call them with a rocket and he got launched in the air....and i thought he was dead and then i ran over him on accident

My friend just got the game so i made a new char with him. We played for 6 hours straight :D but this time i only found CRAP guns and he found all the good ones.

Isnt that illegal? Make them pay you for the work you did or threaten to sue :/

No, not illegal & I could have refused. Getting paid for the time missed on my last check is not in question. I just wanted it all on this paycheck, as it would have been the biggest to date with all the overtime, but nope. Now I gotta wait until the next holiday, which happily is only next month. I work for a Union company & so getting paid isn't an issue. 7hrs a day is our full day. We don't have a "lunch" period. Instead we take mandatory breaks every 2 hrs. Anything over 7hrs a day is overtime.

What do you do?
 
No one talks in this game when I join. its like people don't have mics or maybe 1am is just too late to talk with people. i should play this game right away when i get out of work
