I just recently bought a new house, wanted to share it with you guys. Anyone in the Houston area is welcome to get down on some poker, pool, lan parties, drinking games, whatever suits you. Just let me know before you come, okay? Anyway, here's the new pad. You can see the boxes up in the bedroom too, haven't put everything away.

It's a great house though. Only about 6 years old, carpet needs replacing but that's fixable. The interest rates are so good right now down here that I feel like I'm stealing this sucker. It's not much more than I was paying for a two bedroom apartment. But now I've got more bills and homeowner's insurance to worry about. They still get you in the end I guess. Welcome to home ownership!

nice diggs man.
contrats
what price range was that baby?

I prefer living with my parents at the age of 22... *sigh* I need to get out of college and get a job..

Thanks for the comments guys. Freeman, I paid just under $200,000 for it. But with the interest rates so low, I'm only paying $1200 a month for her. Not a bad deal if I say so myself.

a house that big in my area would cost $700,000+ (canadian)

nice house, congrats

that house i a big houes, it is bigger than most house i know. i recognize the largeness of it, however, it looks very "suburban sprawl develpoment of death" to me, just my personal opinion of my own. i don't know much about houston, but galveston is a cool place. if you put that house in galveston, then i will like it, and you, more.

I wish one day I can own a house like that myself, although I'd perfer a one story building personally :p. If you have kids and stuff then two stories is good. Once I get out of college I need to get a good job and get me a house :p.

Thats whats great about living in the south!Lots of land and cheap housing!

Wow, a house like that would cost well over 800k in my area, nice place btw.

i envy you :p, nice house im too young to own a house myself so living with my parents is fine with me

Yeah I'll be the first to admit, cost of living down here is much cheaper. I've had several people tell me that this house would cost $500,000+ in their area. If that's the case, I can't imagine what my parent's house would go for. The just built one north of Houston for a almost $1 million. I can probably get pictures of that if you guys want to see it. My dad definitely has the party pad.

nah man ..at yonge and sheppard ..it's just so freakin expensive, even a small bugalow is $360 k ...sundin lives in the 2 mil + areas like rosedale or woodbridge :)

oh and I most definately do not live in a $700,000 home :)
