So, braces came off.

But now I have this stupid ****ing permanant retainer on my six front bottom teeth. Shit's gay, and seems mega delicate.

My lips are also ****ing haggard right now, because i've been chomping the shit out of them whilst nomming. Gonna have to get used to eating without braces.

But I dig it!

**** you. These metal things are still jammed into my mouth.

Probably not getting them removed this Saturday, but there's always a random chance.

thats what she said

but yeah, I got mine off a week and a half ago
Its the best feeling... I have that bar on the inside of both top and bottom front teeth...
it sucks big time...
ive got this secondary retainer... its like a clear palstic mould of my upper jaw... it sucks for eating, cause when ever you want to nibble on anything, you have to take it out... but it makes my teeth 10 X shinier

Born with perfect teeth! :E

Hell! I won't even need to get my wisdom's pulled out.

How's the ****ing enamel, bitch?

****ING AWESOME, RIGHT?!

Permenant retainer? I'm confused. Most retainers (mine) come out when you eat...

It's a bonded retainer - a length of wire attached to the back of your teeth.

ouch, sucks man. Ask your Orthodontist for a regular retainer.

Why? A normal retainer can affect your speech, has to be taken out when you eat, and gets in the way. A bonded retainer isn't visible, doesn't get in the way, and you don't really have to remember to manage it at all.

This thread is useless without pics.

But congratulations. I bet your mouth is enjoying it's new-found relaxation and freedom.

I'm not enjoying it at all actually. This bonded retainer thing is turning out to be way worse than the braces ever were. It's irritating the shit out of my tongue.

Tip of my tongue is numb right now, but when I eat anything, it just stings. Hard.

****. This. Thing.

Oh, you'll get used to it.

In a couple weeks, you talk completely normal with the retainer. My mom can't even tell if I'm wearing it if she can't see it
