North Korea is like a stuborn boy who tries to make his mother (or in this case, the US) buy him some more toys (end embargo/treaties) but gets spanked by his mother and also his uncle (China) and in his anger breaks 10 of his toys by throwing them into a lake, while also trying to bully his neighbor (SK) into giving him more protection money, but fails so he takes out his anger on the town dog (Japan) by swearing at it, but gets barked back at.

Or kinda like that. That was kinda hard.

Yeah, that bit of news is the only thing that's actually scared me about this whole situation. If Japan attacks pre-emptively then this whole situation blows up in a huge way. And NK will use nukes because that's all they've got. I can see this turning shitty real fast.

On the other side, though, this will make the whole world wary of Japan again. Could bring about sanctions against them... assuming the UN isn;t simply being a bunch of pussies again.

Though, thinking about it, I'd like to say Japan is bluffing... but that wouldn;t be like them.

Not really, Japan won't go in without U.S. support and the U.S. won't support something this drastic (especially since they have their hands full with Iraq atm). China would never side with N.K. against the U.S., if anything they'd side with the U.S. against N.K. if war broke out.

About the Japanese official claiming they want to do a pre-emptive strike, I say that's just a bluff. If they trigger an act of aggression like that it would provoke the entire Asian continent into thinking "Imperial Japan!" and all hell will break loose on them.

I somewhat agree, but most of us here in Korea don't. People are getting rather worried as N. Korean artillery isn't exactly pointed at Japan. But it makes us wonder: "Should we side with the imperialists, our enemy for 500 years or the northern puppets.?"
