Kerry is a little less difuse, but talks too much like a machine.

Bush seems a little out of focus sometimes. Now he's catching up.
 
Neither canidate is doing all that well. Bush is struggling on his opening remarks, but is dominating on his rebuttals. Kerry is pretty much surviving.

Did you hear I was in Vietnam? seems to be his theme yet again.

president bush thinks that the statement "osama bin laden uses the invasion of iraq as a way to incite anti-american sentiment around the world" is "amazing"

i think it's pretty much right on target.

Kerry seems to be doing quite well on the Iraq/WMD/Coalition issues I think.

He pretty much hit the nail on the head on a lot of things in my opinion.

Bush talking about terrorism: "We have the duty to rid the world of Wepeapons of Mass Destruction" - slightly paraphrased from memory.

Heh, the war in Iraq sure did a lot on that front didn't it?
 
I'm watching it right now. I have to give props to Bush for not appearing like a total idiot as is sometimes the case.

I wish Kerry would more strongly rebuke Bush when he gets his 90 second period on some issues.

Right now I'd say its about even.

Kerry: Strong Alliances!

Bush: Liberty!

lol, I am impressed, bush actually KNOWS how to debate. Kerry sucks, mainly cuz he doesn't really have a clear position, he doesn't convince me.

I hate bush more than anyone here, trust me, but kerry really is sucking at this. I think Bush stands a better chance to convince people than Kerry.

bush is repeating himself over and over. I don't know if i'd call that nailing anything. Blind idealism with no ability to see more than one side of an issue doesn't seem like a great idea for the leader of the most powerful country in the world.

Actually to me it seems like he can't get off that argument to make any more important points.

Kerry: *long speech*

Bush: He flip flops, thus everything he said is wrong.

Hehe, sure I'm exagerating, but it just seems like that's all Bush can say sometimes.

Well, I think this is pretty complicated. The issues their discussing are so complex in reality that communicating one clear position is difficult when there are so many factors involved. I don't think you can just easily say "This is how it is and this is what I'm going to do" in real life situations like this. To me that's what Bush tries to do while Kerry tends to focus on details more.

Bush seems to make more sence to me.. it seems like Kerry is just throwing out facts.. he isnt going into detail enough.
 
oh shit, I'm starting to hate kery mor than bush. He said he will make a better plan for iraq to serve the interest of Israel. He called the people of Fallujah "Terrorists". what a f***er.
 
Seems to me Kerry is making a point, Bush is just boring me. Meh..
 
To say something like "Kerry is getting nailed", is, well dumb. Bush sounds like a broken record. He uses the same catchphrases in everything he says. He hasn't laid out anything specific. He just keeps saying "Its hard work", "Iraqis deserve to be free", oh and "mixed messages".

yeah bush sucks, but kerry isn't really countering him any good. I could counter him better.

I still don't understand how Bush won agaisnt McCain in the 1st place in 2000.

I would be here shouting for McCain any day.

I like how Kerry throws out the fact that Iraq had no WMD's, and the fact that there was no link between Iraq and Osama Bin Laden, yet Bush doesn't say anything to counter it.

Bush is also trying to imply that Kerry doesn't care about our troops, or that he has contempt for our allies in the way, which is a ridiculous tactic and a shameful move by the President.

Also I just have to say that I think the rules for this debate makes it a sham. If it were a true debate, Kerry would floor Bush.

He limited Vietnam to only a few statements. To say that he is all over it is wrong.
