Buying a new xbox 360

So I'm buying a new xbox 360 and selling my old one to my friend. Will all my gamertags, dlc, etc. Transfer to the new console when I plug the old HDD on it?

yes they will, just like a pc.

Yea, pretty straight forward. Just need to use some program to enable the DLC rights to the new console.

Yeah, go to xbox.com and find the copyrights transfer tool. If you can't find it, google should bring up something fast. It just requires you to sign in on your xbox and sign in on the site at the same time. It only allows you do to it once a year.
