the melee combat looked interesting ..finally get to kick nazi butt. Hopefully it's be more open ended less scripted ...although I doubt it

please refrain from posting if all you're going to say is "ww2 games suck" ..some of us still like ww2 games

Man! I was 10 seconds away from posting that!

Yeah, looks good. Different hand to hand stuff makes for more interesting encounters cetrtainly. But what else is going to make it standout in temrs of gameplay I wonder?

(GameTab rules, huh? ;))

Looks pretty good. Ragdolls and better hit animations would be enough for me.

Spiffy... but really how much further can CoD go with WW2?

yup :) ..never have to search for news

i liked the bit where a nade was thrown into a house and the windows blew it with loadsa smoke and debris, looked sweet, i hope stuff like that isnt all scripted however, i hope the environment is destructible.

It's a Call of Duty game, need I say any more?

Not really, no.

CoD 1 (+uo) and 2 are both extremely well made. I will definately be getting CoD 3 asap.

.bog.

They are cool looking games but i dunno all the Call of Duties are the same. Nothing new in anything of them. Never got into the series.

It's very cool looking, but stuff like the fight with the German and the grenade explosion on the building are obviously scripted, looks like they are trying to add a more cinematic experience than a pure war one

Id like to see ragdolls at the very least.....theres no reason to continue with their floating body physics......especially in the wake of half life 2 and ep 1

I'll be exactly the same as the last two:
Infinite spawning Nazi clones will attack Infinate spawning Allied clones until you get close to their spawn point in which they stop spawning. They said they'd remove that bs for CoD2 but we know that was a crock.

Console FPS ftl, btw.

WOW! That looked amazing. I really like the hand to hand combat that they have added into this game. Also I like the part when he trows the grenade into the house causing all of the windows and smoke and wood etc. to fly out of the house. My opinion I don't think that this game will have any problems selling what so ever. I know I am going to buy it!

The hand-to-hand stuff looks too RE-esque.

Rapidly punching some keys to shake them off. D:

3 abbreviations in a row, ftl.

Looked really, really good, especially those explosions and the trench water. I really hope they can get some different sounds though, I mean the sound of the nade bouncing is the exact same from 1 and 2. :/

yeah that imediately came to mind when i saw it.

Noooo!! Call of Duty has become a 100% console game!! NoooooOO!!

Scripted hand-to-hand fighting ftw.

I hope those smoke things aren't scripted, but they probably are. In any case, it still looks awesome.

Looks like there is a lot more detail. I bet it's still just as scripted. But they did well with scripting in the previous games. I don't think it's a bad thing for COD.

I liked the hand-to-hand stuff... but tbh, I'm a little sick of CoD. I couldn't even finish the second one- I just lost interest :/

yeah, I lost interest too because it was like me versus the entire german army, who all looked the same. Killing 1000+ germans in a row gets a little tedious.

for this one, I hope they improve the ai over the past games, though by the video I can't see any signs of that.

I also think the only way it will get great ratings across the board is if it is not scripted, but again, I don't think it will be.

Explosions look great, 'nuff said.

Kinda dissapointing that they're even recyclying teammates voice scripting: "there's one less jerry to worry about"

COD1 was awesome, COD2 was poor. Stupid regenerating health ruined it and waaaaaay too much scripting.

The hand-to-hand looked cool, but to me it looks like COD2 with a new coat of paint (while COD2 itself was COD1 with a new coat of paint).
I like the game, but they're going to have to bring something new besides the hand-to-hand combat.
IMO any game that intends to feature urban combat should have terrain deformation.
And where oh where is a good old-fashioned bayonet when you need one? :(

Looks just like CoD 2 + new graphics until he engages in 100% consolized hand-to-hand combat, complete with slow-mo and button mashing. Great.

I'm telling ya, give the people a bayonet or jackknife to slit the bastard's throat, and there will be NO complaints!

meh.....Call of duty is becoming a really stale franchise.........

Well, it looks pretty fun, really detailed world and nice looking cinematic effects.

But like everyone's already said, it'll need more than that to impress me enough to make me buy it...and if it's not even for PC then I'll just forget about it right now.

anyone else incredibly unimpressed ? it just seems so average, especially some of the models. :x

also, the new melee things seem like useless; i mean, it's a novel idea but will it be hard ? nope, it will just take up time.

never like cod too redundant do this taskesque

COD1 was an awesome experience because it was cinematic. I really loved the soviet campaign, especially the opening sequence where you are just handed bullets, it was fantastic.

Sadly there are only so many times you can go over the same ww2 events. After all, it was just one war, with a set number of battles that you can only do in a certain number of ways. Sure, it looks better, but its the same game.

What, are they all meant to look individual? One with a pair of green trousers, another with a novelty hat? They are soldiers, issued the standard uniform and weapon. Unless you mean facial detail, of course. But I wasn't really inspecting the faces of the enemies to be honest.

I don't think I've ever come across a game where everyone looks different, facial wise I mean.

They should do for PC CoD what they did for Xbox CoD, stick you with a squad for the whole game (a different one for each side) instead of random soldiers that respawn forever, basically Brothers in Arms with less ordering around and more fun

im unimpressed

keeping my expectation low
