Call of Duty 3 gameplay video

The explosions look fantastic, but there was no push from them. An enemy was standing maybe 5 feet from a tank that completely exploded, and he didn't even notice, fall down, react, or get pushed back or injured.

The sound effects are fantastic, but planes would just come out of nowhere. No sound until they were on your screen. LOL I'm sorry, but at only 100 feet off the ground, you are definitely going to hear the plane coming and going loud and clear. Short samples for the lose.

The AI didn't look very good. Friend or Foe.

It was all scripted. Might as well watch a war film.

I hate to sound pessimistic, it's obviously going to be a good game.

I'm looking forward to see some Medal of Honor:Airborne gameplay, and see how they compare.

No ragdolls... still? ... ... ...
I couldn't tell if there were ragdolls or not. I thought it was pretty pathetic that CoD2 didn't have any ragdolls or physics of any kind. wtf, this isn't the 90s, I want corpses to slump against the walls and barrels to actually move when I hit them god damn it! It would make sense if it had scenes with hundreds of guys getting mown down by MG42s like CoD1, but alas, it did not :(

meh.....Call of duty is becoming a really stale franchise.........

Very true. I could hardly finish the last one. It was painfully boring.

WOW an updated graphics engine
with the same crappy AI and linear gameplay

Anyone else find it ironic that CptStern loves WW2 games? Anyone?

jesus christ another WW2 game? FFS, there are dozens other wars in history, just give us something with variety now.

omgbbq another ww2 game

i don't mind ww2... except maybe instead of like the normal huminz, throw in angels! and demons and the such, and like bolt action riflez and heavn vs hell environments like and huge battlefields n stuff. lol kewel, and monkeys w/ bananas n pajamas

A WW1 game would be as exciting as watching Angry Lawyer code for ZM.

So yes, WHY ARENT THERE MORE ANGRY LAWYER GAMES?!

The "hand-to-hand combat" seems to be just button mashing which any "cool" effect on the player will wear-off after a couple of soldier beating.

It seems like it is scripted into that scene as you walk through the door. In other words, every time you play the game, when you walk through that particular doorway, he grabs your rifle.

Doubt it. Its probably a scenario they liked to have in the vid though. We'll see in the final product I guess....

I thought ragdolls weren't a problem for devs these days?

Looks nice (as usual) but the scripts will probably kill the gameplay for me (as usual).

i hope they make that meele combat like in Codemned where you have to shake the control/mouse as if you are actually fighting so that you get released from the enemys grip.

Why aren't there enough WW1 games?

A WW1-esque game could make an awesome adventure-FPS game, where you have to live and do adventures in the trench, then there is the action oritated bits where you push over the top. Think Black Adder Goes Forth: THE GAME. WOO

Looks awesome :) I want to see more vids of it though so I get more understanding of it before passing any judgements.

The Wii (and to a lesser extent the PS3) controller would be great for shaking guys off you. I wonder how it will end up working...?
