Canceled games that looked awesome to you

Dungeon Keeper 3.

Don't know what it looks like, but come on. It's Dungeon Keeper 3.

WHEN WAS THIS CANCELED???

It wasn't.

The only thing that has been troubling it is the owners of Robotech getting in a huff about the use of certain 'Mech designs (Notably, the Warhammer seen in the trailer) as they claim that they own Macross based designs in the US.

Cancelled Oddworld games

That Decay game looks interesting, got any links to info about what it was? Early previews and stuff like that?

I think it was similar to Kingpin. There was a mafia war between some factions. That's all I remember right now.

Harmony Gold are the Tim Langdells of anime. I hope they share the same dick and choke to death.

The idea of a version of Homeworld 2 that didn't suck always sounded awesome to me. They never got far enough with it to make it look that great I suppose. And yeah, the game wasn't 'cancelled' just completely diluted.

Shenmue 3?

Nothings really been shown and they haven't really officially canceled it because it was never really in production, I just want it. :(

Agreed. Thank God Cataclysm was so great.

I was thinking about Shenmue when watching some Heavy Rain demo vids on Youtube. That dev team could create a good Shenmue game.

As long as they didn't touch the script for Shenmue 3, sure.

But I wouldn't want them to start writing the Shenmue story.

Speaking of Shenmue, whatever happened to Shenmue Online? Did it come out in Asia or was it canned or something?

Also, speaking of Outcast, apparently there's an Outcast remake mod for Crysis in the works, looks very good. Here's a link, http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2010/02/18/mama-were-all-voxely-now-open-outcast/

FYI it's still under development, and yes it's in-engine running on the UE3.0.

So, it doesn't belong in this thread since it once again, is NOT cancelled.

I have a friend who worked at the studio. He says they are not working it.

Yeah it got canned :( It wasn't the way I wanted Shenmue to go, but I guess it would have got some money together for Shenmue 3 or something.

It's correct that it's not currently being worked on but I have been told it's not CANNED/CANCELLED by any means, they're simply prioritizing other projects for the moment, but they're still very hopeful at the prospect of getting the game out within a few years time from what I've been able to gather. Part of the promotion for the MechWarrior revival is that they're trying to help a group of talented MW4 modders to release an enhanced freeware version of MW4.

Also about Shenmue, isn't Yu Suzuki like retired now or something?
