CellFactor: Revolution Announced!

Hmm, I wanna know about the 'original' CellFactor game, that announced for XB360 and PC, scheduled for a release in Q4 2k7, being developed by Immersion Games.. Or is this perhaps that game? Only with the added 'subtitle' Revolution?

I hate to be the hater...but it's the same game with new player models and rain?

No that was a different game that never happened.

It looked horrible btw.

This looks amazing. If it plays anything like Combat Training but with more its going to rock.

sounds gimmicky ..still wouldnt buy a physX card to play this game

So, like... um, this is the first game to extensively use PhysX cards since its release like half a year ago? Not impressive :P

I wonder if this game and PhysX will have any success. I also wonder if these cards will get more useful after the release of DirectX 10.

Nope, less useful after DX10. DX10 cards are "multi-purpose" they can be physics cards too (from what I can make of it), making the current ones worthless.

This really wouldn't be worth it unless you own a PhysX card and a high-end GPU...

I really wish they would have never sold the Reality Engine IP, because I definetely would have bought that license... :-\

Actually DX10 reduces CPU involvment making the latency times more acceptable. Dx9 Physics would be non-interactive. Dx10 have a better possiblity of being interactive.

I hope PhysX cards fail miserably.
Lets see. a $150 PhysX card or having to run Dual GPU's? If a GPU is already handling a highly graphic intesive game, don't expect to throw physics ontop of that your gonna need another one.

I'm rooting for Dual+ Core CPU's.

I have dual 7800's. I hope PhysX fails miserably.

i played the beta. The physics were fun because there was so many of them. But really - individually.... the hl2 physx are betta :\

Physics in this game is far superior, but I doubt they can make it so awesome and fun like Valve.

Well what if a game needs both 7800's!!! Ohh then your screwed! lol.

Agreed. I don't want something else that I HAVE to buy just to play a game that, if PhysX failed, I wouldn't have to.
Yeah you've got me there.

I thought the PhysX card wasn't required for the game, but just recommended. I know that GRAW has support for the card, but you're not required to have it.

Screw physx....its gonna die out as a failed gimmick soon enough

Physics are a gimmick? Sorry, what's that thing that made us drop our jaws in HL2 at E3? Made up for about 50 percent of the game's uniqueness and thrilling gameplay? Oh yeah.

You're just a sceptic.
