I liked what they did to the rendering but WTF was up with the plot. They had the futuristic Combine of City 17 units including the copter and scanners in modern times!

Why not just render it period. IMO it's easier than complicatedly splicing with some cheesy looking locales and costumes.
Hey...is this the movie that guy who posted those HDR high poly render said he was going to make? About the 7 Hours War? I was looking forward to it and this looks kinda dissapointing.
EDIT: Some mistakes here...he spelled "starring" wrong and the Stalker isn't up to scale as it's only as tall as a tree.

meh, I wont get my hopes up, I liked the strider integration though.

for some reason I needed to play it in another program than windows media player (media player classic in this case) or it screw up the colors and makes a dxva_sig.txt on my desktop.

The fact that he tried...the fact that he proly sat in fron of his comp for hours with all the matting in of the half life stuff...the fact that his friends volunteered to help him out is an accomplishment....
I did paticularly like when he is face to face with the scanner and touches it..that was done very well...
give credit were credit is due...calling someones hard work chit is rude even if you dont like it. You can point out flaws without calling it chit
heres my critique:
Its not a truck commercial or a tour of your hometown
focus more on the home invasions by the combine
more headcrab
more dead people
have a friend put a pillow on his head and CG it to look like a headcrab guy walking around or swatting at a family on the street or something
eliminate the driving around unless you can make it look more like the helecopter is pursuing you.
pan by a television and have dr breen talking on it with a few people rivited on what they are seeing then have the combine crash through the door and take folks into custody.
Use ALOT LESS titleing.
just some suggestions of course

The cutting was too repetetive that it ended up boring, and cuts were dragged over there point for a bit too long.
Not to mention the acting had a fair few kinks in it also.
Overall, it's ok I guess.
Oh and the proportions of like, everything are way off.

Then make a "Half-Live" movie yourselves if it blows. I'm not tryin to sound mean, but I don't know how to put HL2 characters in a live action movie like he/she did. I'd give him credit for at least having an idea and doing something with it.
