My Korean friend has a theory (which I kinda agree with), when there's 1 billion ppl in a country, shit happens (seriously, lots of f***ed up things always happening in China ~ wierd birth defects, other beatings and cruelty, this case being one of them).

We have laws regarding that; only wooden sticks, and never over 7 ~ 8 mm thick. But nobody cares; our PE teacher hits people with baseball bats.

Not really, if you consider the size of a 11 year old girl, and assume that a 3 story building is about 7 ~ 10 meters high (in which you throw her off the third, which reduces the height), G = 9.8 (which it is), there isn't enough shock, unless you hit the pavement or something.

Also, my god, what the hell? I hope he is prosecuted to the full extent of the law, and then some. What the hell is wrong with people?

Well of course its not, but I think a policy that allows teachers to use violence against kids can cause someone to more easily lose control and start beating the pulp out of a little girl. If the policy was that he couldn't hit her at all (like here), then I'm willing to bet this sort of thing wouldn't happen as likely as it did in China.

There is a difference between punishment and violence.
 
the guy was obviously teaching them advanced physics thru practical demonstrations....

I have a hard time believing this because it sounds so unreal...but if it is, then the guy should fry.

Um... duh? I wasn't suggesting that he was "punishing her" justly. I was suggesting that if he was allowed to hit her according to school policy, then perhaps its partly to blame why he beat her senseless.

And thats what I meant. If he was in the US, he would have done the same thing, regardless of policy.
 
...what? Did you even read tehsolace's post, numbers? Are you saying that he would've done the same thing if he were in the US? Are you assuming an American would've done the same thing? Or this man, if he were in America, would've done the same thing?

And by fry, I assume you mean batter dip his testicles in a blend of infected needles and rusty razorblades, and dip them in a frydaddy full of burning hot cooking oil, only to remove them and salt and pepper them, then allow a hungry ferret to remove them, all the while forcing him to listen to the macarena, while slowly dripping a mixture of pure lemon juice and cayenne pepper spray into his eyes. Then... yes.

Thats not necessarily true. It could be argued that because the fact that he was allowed to hit her in some fashion as a form of discipline, he was used to letting out his frustration towards students in a violent manner, which resulted in him killing her.

I have never, nor will I ever hit a child. Because I believe so strongly in that, its even more far fetched that I would beat a child to death without stopping myself. It can be argued that if I were allowed to hit a child (and didnt feel remorse for it), that my ability to stop myself from doing further has been decreased.
 
What I think, is that he was a psychotic person, and would have killed anywhere, and this is just a coincidence.


It's the same with video games; only ****ed up gamers kill people in real life.
