Is the demo an accurate representation of the game?

Wow, that demo was awesome. I can see why this game kicks ass.
By the way, what engine does this game use? It looks better than Doom III.
 
yeh near the end of the game the visuals do get even better...dunno where it was the white area before the ending....no spoilers since i can;t remember how far i got
 
Very short demo, but it was fun, more fun than Doom 3! Sorry for the comparison, but on that note, it does metal better than Doom 3 :p

Is this the same as the xbox demo? Does it start with the fingerprint thing, and you get your first gun?
 
yes after you drop down on some guy and give him a beating. Wow the graphics are nice, and the weapons have a good feel to them. Is there a mp to this game?

no.no mp sadly,there doesnt seem to be a mod scene either or any patches to iron out a few glithches i noticed particurly with ati cards when i played it awhile ago
 
that's too bad I guess I'll rent it. No use in spending $50 on a game that'll last me 10 hours

(I'm one of those people that will play games/movies/music over and over and still enjoy it.
 
ya I'll play more than once but usually only really really good good games ...I'll be restarting HL2 soon :)

but from what I played of the demo the game seems like a lot of fun
 
Darn, I was hoping this would start you in the begining. Playing around with the inmates is fun. Oh well, I guess starting you when you get your first gun is more appropriate.

That was only a very small part of the gameplay, if you all liked that then you would love the full game.

And in my opinion is looks, runs better, and is more fun than doom 3 :)
 
It runs better than HL2 for sure on my P2.8Ghz, R9550@9600pro, 256MB RAM :thumbs:

Where you able to use the eye-shine, though? Have I missed any device or something?
 
much better gfx then doom 3 if I do say so myself, it takes the doom III formula, and kick it's ass. some of the best gfx i've ever seen. uninspired boring level design and shortness of the demo are some drawbacks however.
 
Hmmm, I don't like this game at all. Some interesting ideas like climbing stuff, but ultimately boring fodder for the masses. The enemies don't react to your fire in the slightest which makes for constant spraying not knowing if you're hitting them or not. I wouldn't say the graphics were better than Doom 3.

And if so, Does it give you any problems at all?
Also, If SP2 does in fact suck...I found out that I don't have SP1, So could someone provide me with a download to that?

Wow, I've played with the demo a bit and I discovered you can kill a guard with his own weapon (Riddick struggles with the guard and points the guard's weapon at his head and shoots). Sw33t :)
 
Already have the full game for the X-Box and I completely loved my purchase. Nothing like shoving a shiv into a guard's neck for a silent kill.

The varying gameplay was sweet all throughout the game. I'm just not sure how well it would translate to the PC.

Yes, another great touch that I lurve.

Hopefully the Riddick franchise will flourish in the video game market.

You should have scanned your computer for spyware before you upgraded. And you would only have SP1 until April 12. Microsoft is making all customers go SP2.
