Closeing the Doom 3 sub-forum ?

There's no real point to keeping it open.

Once the mods come out, and threads start interfering with the General Gaming section, then we can open it again. For now (even though it's not in the way as a sub-forum) let it die.

It shall go to hell. (how punny )

okay if the staff want to get rid of it, fine but can they leave a few important threads like the command console thread and the easter egg thread etc..

i like it here so much better than having to scour through a cluttered Doom3 forum

No need for it, when the game came out the forum was busy, but now its not.

Also if your going to keep it, may as well have a Halo 2 one.. and a Sims 2, and an Evil Genius, and a Call of duty and a.... etc etc, whens it end? So I vote for no Doom 3 forum, or others like Halo 2 etc.

Doom 3 was a good game. The single player was great, spooky but not innovative. The multiplayer portion was weak. 4 players per server and 5 maps? C'mon ID, you can do better than that!

As for Half-life 2, we hear the single player is going to improve greatly on Half-life 1's already excellent single player formula. The world of HL2 seems to be immersive: a city under alien martial law, leading a resistance group, driving on a dangerous path outside the city infested with Combine and Ant Lions, and interacting with NPCs who display perfect lip syncing and real-time facial expressions.
The multiplayer is Counter-strike:Source, which I am OK with. It's basically CS with a major graphical overhaul. It's something to play until Counter-strike 2 comes out, of course. Some people complain about a lack of a Half-life 2 deathmatch component. I wouldn't really want to play that instead of CS:S. It's like vanilla deathmatch with the manipulator as a gimmick that will get old after a few games. If you really want HL2 deathmatch, wait for a mod to come out.

There should be a place for dead forums to go... Like, a 'Dead Forums' Forum. Just have dead things, like the Speculation Forum, and the Doom3 Forum... and any others that get createed but used once every month or whatever.
