Should the U.S. establish a permanent, manned base on the moon?

23 thousand votes have been made and it's 50/50. I for one cannot understand why 11.5 thousand people would be opposed to such an endevour, if their tax payers money isn't spent on that it'll be spent on something twice as stupid. To the moon, I say!

Psh doesnt matter they do whatever they want to do with our tax money so our opinion doesnt matter, if they really want too they will do it. I dont really think they should, cause Im guessing this is in response to china going to the moon.


Offtopic fact: 400,000 dollars of your tax money a year goes to putting sand back on rich peoples beaches! One guy already owns the moon.

Really, some guy did his homework and found out that a company cannot own the moon but a individual can.

It's kinda funny but he's already issuing out acres of the moon to people to live on in the future.

Dude Dateline had a special on it like 2 months, Im not saying just because they had it on dateline that it was true but they did have evidence showing there is people in the government who are getting paid for doing exactly nothing.

i was trying to say that you're blowing the whole "people getting paid to do nothing" thing out of proportion. and you're trying to tell me i'm wrong without any proof except "i saw it on dateline one time"

Im not blowin it out of proportion, I said there are some government officials who are getting paid for doing exactly nothing. Im lookin on the dateline site right now lookin for there news archives to find the story.

I dont know what to say, I just looked on dateline and abcnews.com and i cant find anything. I used their search but they have no archives so Im not sure how I would go about finding it. Your right all I can say is a saw it on dateline (may have been 20/20 though thats why i checked abcnews) so I cant argue about so dont agree with me.
