Combine are more mobile versions of the Borg, however they lack the atmosphere.

Alice Krige is even scarier in real life.

Never got that far into voyager, im talking TNG, especially First Contact

The greatest enemy of mankind is Jim Carrey's The Claw!

I rather think stormtroopers are more scary than the lame Borg zombies. They were only cool in TNG.

We take First Contact as a reference. Any use outside that (ie. Voyager) is just overuse and can be ignored.

The Borg heal themselves. They're practically invincible without something like the I-Mod (from Star Trek: Elite Force). And the fact that they can spread is also disconcerting.

(And what is The Toaster in your sig, Drucks?)

Thread from a a while ago. I believe Zombieturtle told me I resembled a toaster.

They aren't very worrying, really. Even FC had them being rather retarded.

Oh noez teh federationz has blown up our qub!!! TIME TRAVELZ!

Just send two cubes. Honestly. Idiots.

Besides, shoot them with bullets or stab them with knives and they die. Daleks are much scarier, tell you the truth.

Damn, you've changed your avvie since then. Now it don't make no negatory sense, man!

a force/telekinetic battle between the Emporer and an Advisor would be interesting... For instance, they are both old, green and wrinkley and they both float around like idiots.

:LOL::LOL: Advisors arent all old though.

No, they don't die. :/
If you recall from First Contact, Picard had to remove the chips from the Borg to kill them. Even when shot with something like a compression rifle, it's still technically possible to resurrect them. Using nanotechnology, of course.

No, it wasn't related to my avatar. He just said he thought if he related me to a household implement, I would be a toaster.

Well, yes, but that's just nitpicking. It's not like they rise again immediately after you shoot them. I thought he only removed them just to be sure, because the space vampires needed to be staked... I mean, chip removed. Note that the other drones taken down didn't get up even after time had passed.

An RPG wouldn't dent a Dalek.

How not, it would punch a hole straight in it.

Have we ever seen an RPG fired off a Dalek on screen, no, and we may never.

And for the Cybermen, I remember during series 2, one is hit and explodes.

Daleks have protective forcefields, a RPG wouldn't even scratch them.

It's implied quite strongly that convetional weapons can do sweet **** all against a Dalek (except under extremely concentraited fire).

"What's the nearest city?"
"Salt Lake City."
"Population?"
"One million."
"All dead."

If a Dalek could be stopped by one RPG it really won't be considered nearly as big a threat.

In season three, we see that a Dalek can take about thirty seconds of constant barrage from something like 20 weapons of its own type before being destroyed. We've yet to see anything that can withstand Dalek firepower (such as Cybermen, concrete walls or humans), and we know that Cybermen's laser-type weapon can destroy cars and heavy military barricades, yet do ****-all against Daleks (in case you didn't notice, one hundred cybermen + human soldiers never scratched any of the cult of Skaro. So yeah, RPG= Useless. Or, okay, not useless, I'm sure a few RPG hits would eventually make it through the shields and the armour, but it'd take a while.

Ok, think about it...

Strider vs. Dalek

Dalek yells \'EXTERMINATE!!!\'

Strider fire its big f*ck yeh cannon...

Dalek in 9000 peices.

Or Dalek flies circles around the strider while blasting it continously.

Advisor flies in and halts the dalek telekinetically and then cripples his armour, killing the little peice of crap that lives inside.

Then several millions Dalek reenforcements arrive and blow the slug to bits.

Combine's main armies come with never before seen technologies and creatures, and they devour all upon the planet.
Everyone loses.

We have no idea how many combine there is, it is highly unlikely that the advisors are the only combine.

I would bet on several billion combine.

Is elevation alright? Because I liked the Dalek from Dalek. At least it didn't fly at 100mph.

That's absolutely fine, I loved that, everything about "Dalek" was great. But they are not ****in' jetfighters like in Doomsday or Evolution of the Daleks.

Daleks killed each other instantly with their gas weapons in the Peter Cushing episodes.

Also, i seem to remember a dalek blown apart in the episode with davros, cant remember why or how though. Havn't watched Dr Who in years (except a couple of the newer episodes).

I always thought the cybermen were scarier than the daleks.

Indeed. The Doctor is great in it too. Dalek, Father's Day and the Doctor Dances are my favourite of the new serieses (I haven't seen enough of the older and only one of season 3).

Those movies, from what I understand it, are not considered canon by anyone.

EDIT* riomhaire- your taste is impeccable.

Daleks have advanced a lot since then.
They fought well enough in the Time War to force the Doctor to have to wipe out Gallifrey to try and get rid of them, and some still survived. The Cult of Skaro even built a bloody Void Ship.

Ah, what? No they didn't. They salvaged a Time Lord void ship.

I do remember seeing a clip of a Dr.Who episode were he stuck a hat over a Daleks eye and it couldn't see.
So in retospect.

Combine < Dalek < Hats.......Now thats just plain dumb.
Beware your hat because next time, it may not like you....

Time lord's can travel to alternate dimensions right? I remember seeing an episode were the Tartus <sp* did that. So if they have inter dimensional travel then they could be a threat to the Combine.

Yes, the Time Lords gots pwnd but that was the Daleks and there really tough. The Combine don't nearly have the tech the Daleks have.

Oh and a Dalek would make a Strider his b**** in nano seconds.

Travel between dimensions used to be easy for Time Lords, but it's almost impossible now (and the Time Lords are dead).

The Doctor has said your not allowed to do that. I believe in the same episode as the one I referenced in my op.

Like I said, they've advanced since then.

They still seem too cute and cuddly to be a real threat.
They're too dumb as well. Sending your strider's one at a time into a place with extreme importance to their hold on the earth... WHO DOES THAT?

Its a game...

If the Combine sent in every one of their several thousands of Striders at a time imagine the scene...

People have been complaining the Final battle is impossible, now that would be impossible...

I say bring it! I'll puch'em all out. Hunters and Striders! I'll even quickly learn how to fly and punch out the gunships.

Hmmm

Well, I admire the Combine for being characterized so well. Those blue goggles are pretty much iconic (to me), and they feel very smart to play against. I love their bigger machines, such as striders.

What can compare, though? Meby Helgaust. I am not going to go into Ai, because, so far, it is terrible. BUT the design is so striking.
