I wish my dad played games....Haha my dad doesnt even know how to turn on a computer.

This is EA people. No good can come of this.

Seeing time and time again how EA handles things basically what were looking at is a huge pile of shit spray painted gold. We'll be so blinded by the title that the game has that we'll buy it without a second thought it ill probably have shitty game play or be buggy as hell. Not to mention they will probably give the game a very specific requirement which will cause people to have to buy new hardware for no reason (like they did with battlefield 2).

No Kane, No Frank Klepacki. No good can come of this.

Renegade wasn't the last game in the timeline, Tiberian Sun was. Renegade was set during the original C&C.
Indeed. Though I got the impression that Renegade was supposed to be in between the two. Old mammoth tank, blue tiberium.

One of the Renegade missions had you planting the Ion Cannon beacon at the Temple of Nod (effectively the final C&C GDI mission).

Pity that Renegade SP was so....bad.

I wish my dad didn't know how to use the computer. We've gotten to a point where we're gonna need two computers one for each. He is a quake3 fanatic:E .

Anyway, back on topic, I personally didn't like Renegade, it's a pity because it could've been a good game. One notable thing is that the concept of FPS strategy isn't at all original one example of a game that did it with a relative success is Battle Zone.

If the story in C&C 3 is really gonna take place after the end of Tiberian Sun then there shouldn't be any Kane, because he is dead for good this time:( .

Just read the article, they are so early in development I don't even want to bother speculating anything. End of 2007 would be probably optimistic for a release date.

Renegade wasn't action strategy though - it was pretty much a pure FPS, albeit one that you could buy vehicles in (in MP at least)

Kane is alive, according to the events of the Firestorm expansion.

Stop bashing it just because it has EA on the cover!

From what i've read on other forums (linked to in first post) this will be dev'd by EALA which still comprises several original Westwood members who didn't leave.

EA are a business and do anything to MAKE PROFITS! They have been involved with some very succesful games, Madden NFL, C&C's past/present/future, MoH and don't forget, involved with Valve on publishing Half-Life(s)

As has been mentioned this won't be released until 2007, late 2007 i guess so give it a break why don't ya!

I'm looking forward to this, although slightly worried that it's not the Westwood team, and I also think Joe Kucan and Frank Klepacki cannot be separated from C&C.

Wondering, anyone interested in setting up a new fan-site for C&C 3 now it's been confirmed? Would do it myself but have little to no knowledge of what to do to set up a forum, site etc.

get in touch by PM or MSN me - [email protected]

Remember this is Electronic Art's we are talking about here people :/

As much as I love c&c its been plagued by ea imo.

I have hope in EA. Yes you heard me. I HAVE HOPE IN EA! Lets see what happens shall we...

Didn't the cut scenes in Tiberian Sun have the dude who played Hicks in Aliens? Or did I imagine that?

I think i'm going to re-install all my old C&C games now.
