he explicitly states that its just a rumor, cant he have an opinion?
I just find it interesting that Stryyder (who slams and questions fragmaster's opinions) would go to his forums, quote him.. then post it here stating (I found this somewhere on the internet)
as if its some ploy to make people slam Fragmaster inadvertantly.
thats childish.

Fragmaster stated that it was nothing more than a rumor, and to not take it to heart, he said he didnt even believe it.

then he added his opinion.
there should be a forum rule, no slamming on Fragmaster... geez guys focus your hate somewhere else.. its just one guy with his own opinion... dont like it? Dont read it!

(just so you know, I dont even know the guy, I do believe he posts his opinions rather poorly, however thats his perogative, I just dont visit PHL anymore)

WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG

This is the entire quote where does it say its a rumor in this entire statement.

We're about two weeks away from Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, and judging by our poll, about 30% of you are going to run out and buy it. While I'll certainly do the same, I'm definitely not as excited about the game as I once was. It's not exactly the single-player experience Valve initially indicated CS: CZ would be. To give you an idea of how CS: CZ has evolved, check out these previews: 9/01, 12/01, 5/02, 12/02, and last month.
Historically, Valve has not been afraid to drastically revamp projects that they feel isn't meeting their high standards. Half-Life 2 is likely going through the same process (at least to some small extent) at this point. Could this mean another one year delay? Beats me, but one would think HL2 would be slightly harder to develop than CS: CZ.

Personally I think it makes sense for Valve to use this extra time they have, be it because of the hack or some other obscure reason, to improve upon HL2 and or add some extras, not necessarily revamp the entire game though.

hmmm... Valve doesn't seem to issuing a press release confirming 2003 anytime soon.

I propose we ritually sacrifice a forumer to help the process. Any nominations?

And what's with this shit about Valve always taking time to rework their games? They had one game, and they delayed it to rework it.

dibs

don't care, as long doom 3 isnt delayed, HL2 can take as much time as it takes to be released

You know you whiners are going to say "Oh it was worth the wait after all." So just stop whining now.

Don't forget TF2. They decided to delay to rework it and it hasn't been seen since. Not to mention CS:CZ, which has been in the hands of 4 devs and Valve themselves.

I am expecting the worse as of right now, because I honestly don't care anymore. They can release it WHENEVER they want as far as I'm concerned.

Christmas...April, two years time. Don't matter to me, I probably won't even buy it anymore.

One wonders why you're even on these boards.
