Condemned Demo Tomorrow !!!11

Whooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds awesome, except Oblivion has all my attention atm.

Really cool. Anyone who hasnt played/beat it on the 360 should get this 100%. Really good game. Worth buying for sure. If the pc version has extra stuff i will have to pick it up aswell.

:bounce: Aw man what a pleasant surprise! I am very eager to smash dudes in the face with a long piece of lumber!

I hope it's not a short demo but regardless I'm sure I will play through it a few times.

It'll be interesting to see how this runs as opposed to FEAR. It'll also be interesting to see how visceral the combat is as compared to Oblivion and its rousing melee....

Condemned is fantastic fun. Smashing junkies in the face with lead pipes - classic.

very cool, I will be downloading this
Thanks for the heads up! :)

Nifty.

The game sounded like it was a surefire rental on the 360.

Any mirrors? I don't want to wait for 60 minutes.

Nevermind, found it at filefront.

Ahh, I can't find it there! And I just got out of line at fileplanet!

great demo! very immersive... looking forward to this one!

you can definately notice the resemblance to FEAR :

Man that was cool
I was hoping for more, but this is definitely a game that relies on building tension. Lack of action = crazy tension
When's this out?

****in hell, what a game, I hated F.E.A.R., and just after playing this demo, can tell it`s soooo much better than F.E.A.R., no gimmicky slo mo, with some mental melee combat and some nice graphics, only thing is, it`s barely playable on my PC. ;(

I didn't like the melee, thats pretty much what I wanted to play this for.

well said
headphones on, sound up high, there's nothin like it
love hearin the guys running around and even taunting you from afar
believe the game is out around the 11th for PC

Glad you guys are liking it. It really is a great game. Downloading the demo see how it feels on the pc.

I love all the blur effects, and the different "handling" of each weapon
It seems to run a lot better on my PC than Fear does, and it looks a lot better because of the awesome lighting effects
Not sure what settings I had it on, just upped the resolution to 1024x768 and went with the default

Could tell us the difference between the 360 and the PC from your impression ?
Please :D

My god that was awesome! And it ran pretty darn well on my midrange PC.

Very immersive though, I was amazed by the melee combat, especially that one part with the drugees attacking eachother, and I joined the brawl, that was ****ing AWESOME. Your POV moves so much with every swing and hit, it's really immersive like that. And all of the sudden I get grabbed by someone and I have to sway my mouse to break free, SWEET! Plus I LOVED how the gun was, how you had to check the ammo manually, and how the damage was realistic. It really makes you appreciate the power of a firearm over a melee weapon, which is great.

I can't wait 'til the full version comes out.

I will post when i play the demo. Download crashed earlier trying it again now.

The only part that scared the living hell out of me in the 360 version was the part where as you moved through the room, the manequins would close in on you, every time I turned around they would be up in my face, and the creepy sounds didn't help it

Pretty damn good, ran acceptable on my computer at 1280x1024.

The melee was a little clumsy in my opinion, and why does he only block in like a second and then let’s go? I don't really get the system were a thug grabs you and you have to do something with the mouse to get free, how does it exactly work? Sway the mouse right to left as fast as possible or something else?
The Taser saved my life, because the thug who took your gun he was a damn sucker. Kept running up and grabbing me and hitting my ****ing head. Bastard.

The weapons were pretty damn awesome though, I like how realistic they felt with only a shoot or two and a thug is down. And also the need to check your ammo in the magazine.
I found a pump-action shotgun in a storage room, it was pretty neat but only four shots.

Very immerse too, excellent sound effects especially when you hear some guys running on the floor above you. Excellent work there.
The AI seemed good too but I saw some faults like one thug running towards a wall. Nothing really bad though.

I'm looking forward towards this, just a little disappointed in the melee but I'll probably get used to it. I hope at least. ;)

I'm definetly getting this on the 360.
... You can now download a playable demo of Sega's Condemned via the Xbox Live Marketplace free of charge. ...

As for the PC version; downloading now via VPpro.

Loving it, great demo
<3 the Meele fighting system

Finally finished downloading it.

It doesn't run right on my PC. Nobody has a body. Nobody has a face. Quite strange. Colors all washed out, missing buildings, windows floating in air, no hands. Other than that it runs great :|

I don't know if there is a config setting I can change to fix it but looking online I could hardly find any troubleshooting info on this game.

I know I need a new computer but every damn game that comes out seems like it runs well with great frame rates, but some kind of horrible graphic bugs.

Half-life2 was not only the first PC game I'd bought in the past 20 years, but the last game I bought that runs right on my PC. WTF

EDIT: er actually I remember now that I did buy a few older Pentium 3 games like Medal of Honor and Morrowind
EDIT2: er actually Half-Life2 and Doom3 had some serious graphic problems when I bought them as well. It wasn't until I modified the config files that they ran correctly.
oh well

Seems like a driver problem maybe? You fully uninstall your drivers then install new ones?

Well thanks but it's not a driver problem. I have an uncommon hybrid card - 9250 PCI. It's never fully supported. If you want to make sure your card is supported in a game, get one that is popular.

Other problems stem from the fact that I have a Celeron instead of a Pentium, and of course that I have to use PCI instead of AGP or PCI-E.

It's usually as simple as changing a 1 to a 0 under one of the things in the config file to get the game to play properly, but not always.

I'm tired of this ****ing mobo/GPU I tell you what. How much would it have cost them to add an AGP or PCI-E slot to the board somewhere in China? Then I could have bought a really nice Graphics card.

Try finding a really powerful PCI card. LOL, no such thing.

Good demo , alot of tension , though I wonder if the melee system can carry the game , the demo was short to say anything about it but it's starting point is good.

This game is surely more stressing than F.E.A.R pika-boo stuff.
