Console "Try and Play" experience coming to a Vista PC near you !

I'm one of the few that
a)gets little from saving 5 minutes before I can play a game
b)actually likes to watch the install process as it will be the only time I browse the manual
c)want to see some great installs or some nice artwork while I wait

Call me crazy but installing is never that difficult for me

I do however think this will help bring PCs to the mass audience and help it as a platform, just like games for windows. So it's still a good initiative.

that and i see this as one of those things that is kind of dumb. . . ya, the technology behind it is awsome, but come on, it takes like 5 mins to install agame. . .i don't see why this is "awesome"

well nextgen games are getting bigger and bigger thus increasing the install times. besides that this is really for people that aren't to keen on dialogs and installers and stuff like that people that aren't too technical.

It's a nice feature, but I'll be installing. Rather wait 5 mins or so, check online for any patches or good mods. Get some food and drink then enjoy the game with some nice loading times :)

Cause you buy the game, put in disc and then you're almost instantly in-game.

It's just something that's nice.

Just come on these forums waiting for most installs to finish. Doesn't really bother me.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, it's actually a very clever feature, it's just not something that will change pc games forever either. . .

now if they could just make the rest of vista good, they might have a decent OS

I would much rather make sure the install process goes properly and monitor it so I will inevitably be doing the full install option. The only time installs have bugged me was when they had like 5 or more CD-ROMS (stupid NA Far Cry!!).

The Sims 2's installation was cool; you played little mini games as it installed.

Now THAT was badass.

I'm not really stoked on this....if you're too lazy to start the game install, then go do something slightly more productive, and come back and game....whew....

I've pirated a few games that were just download, click and play. I can never help but wonder why it's not standard

Because Microsoft has been neglecting us for so long not to have the feature on windows :p
