CryTek working on new game...What could it be!

Humm..Probably means Crysis is moving a long very well.
Well, it's important to note this is not the same development team as Crytek itself(The ones who made Far Cry PC and are making Crysis) but as stated in the article, a newly started off-shoot studio.)

I have no idea what it might be, they say it's a new original IP but they don't really hint at what it might be, I'm guessing it might be multiplatform from the sounds of them though.

Rgr. The way i saw it that studio was helping in some way with Crysis. Maybe the engine etc. Now they are shot off to the side for another project.

Maybe it's Trigens in space!
Although I doubt it. There would be no tropical island...

Director Uwe Boll is already onboard with a movie adaptation, which starts filming this August. Uwe has stated in interviews the film will be faithful to the source material, although no title or concept for the game have yet been announced, publicly or privately. Mr. Boll appeared unphased by this small detail, citing his unique ability to alter scripts dynamically on-set.

We'll have the exclusive trailer next week, as soon as he's had time to ship out the latest grab-bag of Hollywood has-beens for a premature shoot.

The way they talk about how the engine is ready for any sort of game leads me to believe it may be something very refreshing and a "far Cry" (forgive the pun) from Far Cry/Crysis. Let's hope so, good as those two may be....

It'll probably have Cry somewhere in the name. :|

Yeah most likely. It really annoys me how they seem to be doing that. Still, i guess its too early to judge them for that, since they really have only made 2 games.

Man i think it was a real good move for CryTek to drop FarCry. They leaked and are ****ing it up in so many ways. Movie sequels. Crappy Ports.

CryTek didn't actually drop Far Cry afaik.. I think it's the same case as Bohemia and Codemasters, Ubi funded development of Far Cry and probably got the rights to the name, somehow they might have fallen out in terms of relations with CryTek, which is why they weren't allowed to continue with the game, and why their name 'Cry'sis is being funded by EA :>

Crappy ports? What? The Xbox Far Cry was 10x better than the PC game.

PC farcry was amazing for like an hour then was unbelievably timid and boring

Too much trigen. They are too powerful. They should have been used less. I don't mind to fight like, 10 trigens per level, but 25+ is just too much. But I still love the treehouse pen and rebellion.

Far Cry is a very, very average game, with one or two good levels.

I enjoyed Far Cry, but it doesn't stand out any more than a Call of Duty game to me. Great fun, not as special as some say.
