Since when did popularity and prize money dictate whether something is a sport or not? Never.

Physical exertion CAN be moving a mouse, granted it isn't going to strain your arms but it does require you to move your mouse and press your keyboard. It's governed by a set of rules, and is competitive. Fits the description almost perfectly.

And also to the "golf isn't a sport" post, using your logic we can also say that tennis is only a game. It's only throwing a ball and moving two feet over to hit it, same thing as golf basically. Pft.

As for the comparison to tennis - the amount of energy it takes to play a game of tennis is extreme when compared to golf. Throwing a ball and moving 2 ft lol
