I've heard the hitboxes are still wrong (by wrong i mean when a person crouches their head-hitbox is much lower than thair head and basically in a weird position).

I hate not getting hits when i should have :(

I was wondering what everyone else thought, i dont have cs:s but i wanna know neways, as i'l have it with hl2 :D

I dont have CS:S either but ive heard they are better, so i wont vote.

I like the hitboxes. It seems to be correct for where I aim, whether I hit or miss.
And when I shoot up someone in their legs or arms they don't die but if I'm falling back and place a few good shots in their chest or one in their head they die right there. How it should be IMO. Just get used to the aiming in the new game and actually hit some vital parts, not the crotch though. :x

Yeah I agree with asus, the hitboxes are very good, however sometimes it seems as though they lag behind the player. I've seen a few kills from 1st person where the player shoots behind the other guy and he kills him.

The hitboxes are just as erratic as cs1.6's. You can snipe someone in the head from afar but up close its anyones game...

yeah i think that theyre still off i shot a guy w/ an wap in the left arm sighted close and crouching , 483 dmg hs

In general they seem pretty decent. However when a player has been moving I've fired well behind the player and still killed them. Not a good thing.

Why is it so hard to do correct hitboxes? aren't hitboxes just bounding boxes you resize to make sure they're in shape with the player model?

In SP, they are very easy to do, but it is with the addition of the online, data throught the wires to the server then to the clients, that the hitboxes then suffer, at this point I think it is basically prediction errors.

Alright, whoever says they are "perfecto" has never played doom 3...

I tried to play doom3 but i could'nt see through my tears of boredom well enough to notice the quality of its hit box's.

I loved doom 3's pixel hit detection (although the overall game wasn't that lovable).

Everytime you missed you knew it was your fault.

Yea I've seen that - both when I was playing and when I spectated someone. I never knew if it was my computer/connection lagging. You'd see the person shoot and the blood splatter would appear behind the enemy and then they'd die....

i remember a slow motion vid, this guy shoots his deagle far from his head, and it says headshot, when i saw the vid, i was like, omg
