Im eye balling the mx510 as i hear it is still better than the new cordless mx1000. Any opinions? Im currently useing a microsoft optical. I really dont see how the mouse can work any better than what it already does, but their is definatly enough people that sware by getting these extreme mice.

So... Im thinking the mx510.

As for the keyboard... i Have no clue. Im trying to find stuff that is really comfortable and customizeable.

Thanks.

I have the Logitech MX Duo. It has a sweet wireless logitech keyboard and the MX 700. Quite impressive.

Tip: Buy some sort of warranty for your keyboard (if you buy an expensive one). Especially if you tend to eat and drink at your computer. Saved me $70 just this past Wednesday.

I doubt the 510 is better than the 1000, unless you want to save up some extra money.

A trackball is actually physically easier to use and gives you a lot more freedom (as well as less wrist and arm strain) but it takes a lot of acclimation and is really annoying at first.

The Microsoft Trackball Explorer is a good bet for that though.

Yeah, I have a MX700 as well. Great mouse, good feel. MX510 is a little better with a wire although I perfer the heaver MX700 and wireless.

MX1000 (Lazer not LED) is a great mouse. Again wireless and a little heavier compared to the MX510. Different shape though.

I love my MX510, it took a few days to get used to, but once you get past that your hand will orgasm, it just feels so great.

Im using the blue microsoft optical mouse and the left button was ****ed (sometimes does nothing, sometimes clicks, sometimes double clicks) about 2 months after i got it, and now the wheel is acting weird too.. makes playing cs and other games a nightmare sometimes. Gonna get one of those logitechs soon i think.

Really a mouse or keyboard isn't going to be better than the next as far as gaming goes. It's more a matter of taste, style, and comfort. I'm using a logitech keyboard and a microsoft intellimouse. Works fine for me.
