dam I am starting to hate Halo

I, am a pretty big Halo2 fan, I play on xbox live for at least an hour every day. To tell the truth, there is so much stereotyping going on in this thread its sickening, I also go to a Halo forum, and its nothing like what a lot of the people in this thread thing. Yes, in Halo 2, the singleplayer was lacking, I'll admit it. The multiplayer though is excellent, not just playing occasionally, but when you get into it and play games like CTF on Zanzibar, when you are playing with friends or clan-mates with strategys I do not think theres a game in which I've had more fun

And how can you say Masterchief is corny, how can you get cooler than that?

Fine if you're happy with it keep on playing it. Play it forever. But the reason i think Master Chief is corny was because of that whole scene in Halo 2 where he jumps out of the ship and plants the bomb in the core of the covenant ship and jumps back off. All in Space too. That was ridiculously corny. Sure he looks damn cool, but that scene permanently disgraced the badass image of him that was created in Halo. Now he's just any other action hero like Arny or Rambo.

I love the colour pink. I hate the Covenant.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I like the colour Pink. Anyone who knows me will confirm that. Furry things, cute things, candy and all things good and proper in this world look great in Pink.

Scary Alien invaders do not fly around space in Pink spaceships.

It’s an unwritten rule. The Covenant Fleet should never have been allowed to look like the contents of Barbie’s Accessory Catalogue. Perhaps I’m wrong. Perhaps people really do find the rainbow coloured enemies of Halo scary. Perhaps it’s comparable to the fear that macho guys feel when faced with a Gay-Pride March or a particularly formidable episode of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Perhaps Halo is just some bizarre homophobic metaphor, with Earth’s Masculinity threatened by an overtly flamboyant alien race, bent on well… making everyone bent. As it is, I just find it unbelievable. The well-written Halo backstory clearly paints the Covenant as some kind of evil alien race that fills us all with fear. They really don’t look the part. The Covenant are basically a generic, throwaway race, devoid of any real inspiration.

I thought Halo 2 single player was considerably better than HL2 single player in terms of combat (HL2 is very easy, has rather poor weapons, and attimes got quite boring.), and thought Halo was considerbaly beter than Halo 2.

I think Halo 2 is quite frankly one of the worst First person shooters on the market. Crap storyline, awful pacing, pop gun weapons and boring uninspired levels.
