dead rising 2?

Just remember that Dead Rising 2 was outsourced to an Canadian developer, iirc anyway.

The first was one great fun but i hated the time limit. I hope that they give us unlimited time in the sequel.

The hordes are marching agaaaaaaaaaaaaaain! /thrashy riff

Goddamn  at the roller-ball. Looks pretty sweet.

I played the 1st one, and for a zombie game, it was kind of boring. 2nd one looks cool though, but I didn't waste my money on a 360 yet so.

I still havent played the first one yet but i will end up getting it from some game shop second hand probably.

What little gameplay was seen looks exactly the same as the first one without much improvement. Not to mention it appears to be running on the same engine :|. But I guess it is too early at this point not to mention it is pretty hard to get much from that vid.

ya pretty hard to judge from a shaky cam video that shows next to no gameplay

consider me excited though
i adored the first one and the addition of co-op would make it the ultimate zombie game imho

I so, so want Dead Rising 2. Just get rid of the constant phone calls and it'll be a sweet game. And co-op and it's goty.

I don't see a need for a new engine - the current one is great.

you sure?
why is Kotaku only picking it up now?
Because Kotaku love reporting year-old rumours as news? Seriously, they do it all the ****ing time.

Also, meh.

that clip sucked elephant penis, and i know a thing or two about elephant penises

oh and it's multiplatform!! including PC :)

I came brix.

Edit : Am I the only one who noticed they mentioned it will be set in Fortune city? Is that the name of the casino or will we have a chance to explore a bigger area this time , I hope its the bigger area one.

I hope it's as challenging as the first one. But I'm guessing they'll make this one a good old fan service. Sandbox with zombies :/

I hope it's a little more... serious this time. I'm all for hundreds of different ways to kill zombies as there's a good selection then for people who want to play in a manner of different styles which is fine by me, but I couldn't stand the boss fights in Dead Rising. Way too cheesy for me. Best parts of the game for me where keeping survivors alive, and though to get to survivors it often meant defeating some stereotypical boss, I was always looking to best myself at how many people I could escort safely back.

Actually I hope it's just in the casino.

Well at any rate I hope we have a bit more freedom now. I hated the way the first game was on a timer. Besides , considering this is several months after the initial infection its safe to say this isnt a news reporter so there will be no need for a time limit story wise. Although I will miss Frank , he has covered wars y'know.

Not really news, considering Capcom stated over a year ago that all their main franchises will go multiplatform, including Dead Rising. Also, Capcom aren't exactly famous for their quality PC ports so I wouldn't get my hopes up..*Cough*Lost Planet*Cough*

Oh god I hope soooo bad that we get an entire city of zombies.

That would be KICK ASS.

Doubtful, judging from the Famitsu interview it seems to quite clearly indicate it's set in a casino, or alternative a district owned by said casino.

I don't think it'll just be a casino, or at least I hope it isn't. Dead Rising had quite a large variety of different places considering it was set in a mall and I can't imagine a casino to be very interesting to roam around.

I'd like a town myself, someone fairly small which is easily crossed in a vehicle though major locations can be made on foot. Instead of having to go to shops or other locations for survivors like the DR mall, missions could take place all around town. A couple stuck in the attic of a barn on the outskirts of town, police officers having trouble manning a roadblock, a truck driver on a main road and hundreds of other combinations. People in shops too, just for old times sake.

Still excited for this, though.

That would be awesome. And considering the guy wears a biker jacket and is seen riding a dirtbike in one shot, we already have our vehicle if that's the case.

It could still be fairly big if it was contained to the casino, though. Could be a connected hotel, among other things.

As I said, according to the Famitsu interview, it sure sounds like it's contained to a casino, but it's larger than the mall was.

Large or not, I just hope it's pretty diverse in it's environments. I'm sure they could go out there way to make a casino very different at each 'area', but whenever I think of casinos and hotels I can't say I imagine up very much awesomeness from a room full of slot machines, a lobby to either casino or hotel corridors of bedrooms across several floors.

Like I said though, I'm sure they can make it interesting by simply making shit up, so we'll see how it turns out. After all, this is just my ignorance on what the inside of a casino/Las Vegas hotel looks like from films and TV shows alone.

OH SNAP. I loved DR1 so much, I played that game forever and ever. I really cannot wait for this.

Seriously, another exclusive? And not even for the actual game. Is that really necessary?
