whatever you say, its not gonna change the fact that Valve help run this site at their expense...and so to have a forum member claiming to have stolen Steam accounts without a clear indication of it being a joke...that is just screaming for a ban.

one would think that joking about stealing Steam accounts on a website run by a company that also created Steam and the games on it is borderline asking for it...but apparently, people here feel otherwise and now they can go think about it.

theres stuff you joke about and than theres stuff you just steer clear of.

I think what Ova posted was wrong, joke or not but to be honost, we all have our own opinions and see what he posted in different ways.

This forum is abit, daft when it comes to banning people - shouldn't there be a warning system, 3 warnings then a ban? Or even just 1 verbal warning? They don't even get a chance to explain themselves so it is 100% obvious they will make a new account to do that, adding to the problem.

Sorry if I am wrong, you might be running a warning system already...

I don't understand this attitude of 'who cares if it was a joke. He should still be banned.' What the ****? I'll say that again: what the ****? If he didn't do it then he shouldn't be banned. You can talk as much as you want about moderator's discretion to ban, but I think we can all agree there should be some standards, considering this is a site for a community and paid for by Valve themselves. If moderators should be able to ban people for joking, for reasons of 'they don't like them' (not that I'm suggesting this ever happens, because in my experience it generally doesn't - at least, not only because the mod doesn't like them) or 'meh, the guy wasn't really funny tbh' then the whole 'site rules' list should just be replaced with 'BEATDOWN' in a big font. If it's conclusively proved that he was joking then he should be allowed back on regardless of how much you appreciate his scat.

I also don't understand why some people continue to spell 'ridiculous' with a 'red' at the beginning. Many people are 'ridiculous' but only Solaris is 'red-iculous'. :p

Spinning images of CyberWolves, while amusing for a time got truly annoying. Besides being banned, then making another account, is against the rules. So therefore, ban.
