I like Derren Brown. Has anyone seen his TV series? It's very scary the way he can control people or guess what they're thinking.

This latest stunt is quite worrying. He may shoot himself live on TV.

He's a bit of a c*ck, IMHO... And really sleazy pervy.

Although that pushing people over without actually touching them was quite cool.

...there are a few other terms that describe him pretty well, too. Brave is one, [c*ck] might be another.

In any case - it'll be SO staged. 'Scuse my cynicism but come on.

He is an Illusionist, and nothing more. Pen shot Teller in the mouth on TV. Nothing new for people to get shot. I bet you money he gets someone to sign the bullet.

I think you two are confused about what Derren Brown does. I don't think it will just be faked. Penn and Teller is obviously faked but this is actually using a guy that's applied through the website.

David Blaine does nothing that interests me. I do prefer the psychologic stuff that Derren Brown does.

Yes, Brown is more psychological than Blaine, I just think it'll be rigged. If something went wrong, then they would essentially have the most viseral experience ever on live TV. That can't be legal?

My guess is that there is going to be a 10 minute lag (like Big Brother). if he does blow his own head off then the show will just go off and it will say "Technical difficulties".

He's doing the show in another country as well, to bypass certain gun laws.

Derren is a really weird bloke, but I still enjoy the stuff he does. Fake or not, it's quite intriguing.

He lives in my city, I saw him at a show in my local theatre about a year ago I think, he was pretty darn good. I also liked his tv show, I'm really interested in psychology and mind control and I'd love to learn how to do some of the things he does but you need loads of self confidence and I don't have that...

It's not "fake". He never pretends to be psychic or anything he's just a very intelligent guy with a talent for reading peoples thoughts and feelings through their manerisms, voice, facial expressions and whatnot.
