****. Thats blood coming out of the eyes.

It can spray up to 150 centimeters......

They are generally a gentle species, but have been known to try to push their crainial spines into the hand while held. If provoked, they hiss and threaten to bite. When excited, they puff themselves up with air, similar to the way a Chuckwalla does, making themselves look bigger. If spotted near a bush, they will dash into it in an attempt to find cover from any threat. If threatened, they have been known to squirt blood from their eyes as far as 5 feet.

Thought this was interesting.... :E

Why havent we seen these in games being magnified about 100X yet? Would fit perfect...

There are some crazy animals out there. Like a squid that eats sharks. And an octopus that can camoflage into anything.

Sweet. Shooting blood five feet from your eyes would be a great party trick. :D

Because enlarged lizards just look lame. I've seen chameleons magnified in one movie and they looked stupid.

QFT. I think I saw that one too.

Anyway, what kind of a defense mechanism is it when you can get killed by blood loss?

Because it scares the shit out of the animal. I've seen that (once again :p) on National Geographic. Tiny lizard scared away a big coyote :p

I guess I'd also be effing scared if something shot blood at me from its eyes. :x

Why does everything numbers links to look like a virus.

OH LOL

Dude we call those horny toads. I didn't know WTF you were talking about until I saw the pic then read the blood thing.

I used to catch those all the time when I was little. Ran over one about 2 months ago LOL.

Arizona FTW

edit: if you saw one IRL you would not think they are thread worthy at all tbh ;p. They're about the size of your hand and that's it.

I remember when I first saw a video of a Horned Lizard shooting blood from it's eye when I was 6.

I coudn't sleep. :<

Yeah, but did you evr get blood-shot?

Nope, never was. They usually are calm about being caught if you're slow, can't really catch them if you scare them before the fact because they'll run away super fast.
