Are you talking about the brightness of the environment?

I hope blizzard won't make the entire game darker just because of the internet opinion. If the maps are too dark, there will be a huge loss of maps and characters details. In my opinion, the more diverse the colour tones throughout different areas are, the better the looking of the game will be.

I am talking about the new indoor screenshots in general. While the older screencaps had a blue hue over them, these are more black.
 
Now THAT looks like the Diablo we all know and love.

Sounds great, but im still quite skeptical about the UI. They say its more "efficient" so that you can get into the action faster. Thats all they ever talk about, "getting into the action faster", dont they realize that fiddling with the items in the inventory, comparing items, trading, managing your belt, magic find, attributes, looking for high-drop rate areas, transmuting, was all a part of the gameplay experience? From what they say, it sounds like all Diablo ever was about was the action...but there was so much more too it than just that. Now it seems like all their time goes into ACTION ACTION ACTION...MUST MAKE ACTION FASTER, MOAR ACTION....what about everything else that made D2 great? Runewords? Set Items? Uniques? Trading? The action itself will become dull and booring after 30 minutes if it isnt fueled by other gameplay mechanics.

Maybe they just haven't unveiled it yet, so it better be good.

I never minded the graphics before, and I'm not really any more impressed and happy that it's darker. I was in the "**** yeah D3!!!!!!" crowed.

I'm still in that crowd....

I hope Blizzard releases it in May 2010 so I don't fail out of school - this game will likely consume my life when it comes out.
 
I would like to buy this game, but I have made it a principle not to buy any games from Activision-Blizzard, so I guess I'll have to look into alternative ways of getting access to it.

Worth noting also is the fact I never got into the multiplayer, which I've been told is where the main fun is at, I just don't like hack'n'slash MP games.
 
I agree with you that Actiblizz don't deserve our money....the $59 Cod6 pisses me off the most.
good thing I don't waste $15 on WoW anymore either....but I still think I will get atleast CoD6 because it's gonna be that awesome...But the hack and slay genre is dead imo I don't think it will do as well as D1/2

this game is gonna sell like hotcakes and i'm more than willing to spend the cash on something so well made and enjoyable, regardless of who's developing/publishing it

I was thinking more like getting to play it at a friends house, if I like it, I'll probably buy it, seeing as I generally don't do warez except abandonware.
 
well I think most of us will end up buying to be honest...but with a bad tase in our mouths while we hand over the plastic/paper.
 
I just hope they do a demo for it, if I like the demo, I will most certainly buy it.

It's marketing propaganda to justify 'dumbing down'. Console controllers aren't as efficient as mouse and keyboard...

From those vids it looks exactly like Guild Wars, though i'm going to find it difficult to play with something as archaic as a fixed camera - but it looks fun nevertheless and I will be buying. Hope it has randomly generated dungeons like Diablo too. And classical guitars.

kinda fuzzy, but it shows that MF is back, and they changed the inventory once again, to be more like Diablo 2 aka Grid system, which i loved. Looking much better than it did before. Blizzard is doing good!

The writer for diablofans.com is the most bloated ignorant ****tard in the community. Hes such a ****ing asslicker to blizzard, he takes any changes they do that is different than diablo2 and glorifies it X9999 and categorizes anyone who questions blizzard as "not REAL fans" or "little kids", but as soon as they make something that the fan base ASKED for (making it a bit grittier, the grid system, other stuff), he turns into a pesky little bitch and moans about it. He is always critical of Diablo 2 and hates when blizzard incorporates stuff from it into Diablo 3. Cant the little ****er just report the news without his shitty opinion plastered all over it? A true fan is thankful but at the same time is critical, we just dont bend over and let blizzard **** us in the ass when they want to.

might not be noticeable to you, but ive been following this guy since the site was created. Hes not a fan of Diablo, hes just a blizzard ass licker who gladly bends over for his masters.

I'm curious too. Been spending some time lurking on the diii.net boards and the responce there to most things has been positive, it helps that they acknowledge the gameplay weaknesses of diablo 2.

About the inventory system - I was pretty happy with the older tab system for large/small/quest items. If we end up with the grid system back there better be some kind of autosort option to help keep things organised.

Hope so. Monks are awesome. If this is true then its a dream come true. I will be playing as a monk by the way.
 
Blizzard just confirmed it's the monk at blizzcon, via Kotaku's liveblog.
