Do you hate cellphones?

I can't stand them for a couple of reasons:

1. Cripples social interaction. Yeah I walk out of the class during break and all the people (girls in particular) are talking on the phone. WTF?? There aren't too many people in the class who actually know each other.

2. People using them at the wrong place/time. So I was on the bus going home, and then I hear something to the effect of "he inserts a tube into my vagina". Sure enough it's some 45-50 year old lady talking about her gynecologist visit. Apparently she thought that because I had headphones on I wouldn't hear her screaming about the goddamn tube. WRONG!!!

3. Various connection/quality problems. An interesting side-effect of my phone is the "zombie echo". As you probably guessed, it sounds like a zombie repeating everything I said with a 1 second delay. Very annoying.

eh, they're ok, useful sometimes. I have one, but I don't bring it to school or anything. I think people overuse em.

They have their purpose, but I don't particularly care for them. I don't always want to be able to be reached. Most people do use them in the wrong spots. Movie theaters seem to be the worst place for cellphone carelessness these days. Trying watching the Architect scene in Matrix: Reloaded while a loud-mouth (dumbass) girl two rows ahead of you is talking loudly with her boyfriend on her cell about what she wants to do to him when she gets home. Very....distracting.

I try not to depend on them. And yes, I hate them when they go off in classrooms or some girl walking blindly with her ear attached to silicon and plastic.

I can't stand people who use their phones in the cinema or theatre, or people who seem to have their ear glued to it, but I don't know what I'd do without mine. Because I'm only 14 I wouldn't be able to go anywhere if I didn't have it. The last thing my mum says to me when I go anywhere is "Have you got your phone on you?".

I wanna get one for convenience, emergencies and txting mates about plans etc. but I also don't want it to take over my life, for all of the reasons above and coz it saps at ur cash way bad.

You know its interesting, im sure a lot of mobile phone users who dont use the internet could see forums and places like this, to be just as bad as you think mobiles are. Worse even, because not only do you not see the person, but you dont even hear their voice.


Anyway, i have a phone. Its really useful, got me out of trouble a couple of times.
I thinkt he phone bills are stupid, and it says something when the government tells the companies to lower the prices they charge.

Anyway, ive never seen a phone "Cripple social interaction", if anything they have only brought peopel together. Someone you might never see out of collage/school etc you can hook up with because you can just text them or phone their mobile. Without it you might not want to phone their house phone.

i dont like em too much they're ok for calling ppl from anywhere where u are. but these damn sounds they make, e.g. famous pop sounds as ringing tones.
