I can't stand them for a couple of reasons:
1. Cripples social interaction. Yeah I walk out of the class during break and all the people (girls in particular) are talking on the phone. WTF?? There aren't too many people in the class who actually know each other.
2. People using them at the wrong place/time. So I was on the bus going home, and then I hear something to the effect of "he inserts a tube into my vagina". Sure enough it's some 45-50 year old lady talking about her gynecologist visit. Apparently she thought that because I had headphones on I wouldn't hear her screaming about the goddamn tube. WRONG!!!
3. Various connection/quality problems. An interesting side-effect of my phone is the "zombie echo". As you probably guessed, it sounds like a zombie repeating everything I said with a 1 second delay. Very annoying.
