Yes, silly question.

Just wondering, since i'm yet to meet another person who doesn't have a TV at home.

Flame away, i can take it.

Yes, we have two in good, working order, but I won't flame because one of old best friends didn't have a TV.

I'm sorry you can't afford a TV.

What's that? You chose not to keep one? Freak.

I do not need a TV, don't really watch it. As long as my computer has a DVD player, I'm all good.

I don't personally own one. No need for it. Cable is garbage and if there's any show I have the least bit of interest in watching, I'll just torrent/stream.

My roommate next door has a TV, so I can just use that whenever.

I've one in my bedroom which isn't the biggest there is and it isn't HD, but it served me well enough to play the whole of GTA 4 on.

No, I watch my flatmate's occasionally though.

I have a TV a few feet away from my computer. I don't watch TV when I'm not using my computer pretty much...

I'm never away from my computer...

Ive got a 21 inch in my room, my mom has one in her room, my dad has two in his room (ones just in storage lol), a big one in the living room, and another big one in the basement (which is our entertainment area).

I have no TV, don't watch it, have no reason to watch it.

Eventually I'm planning on getting a 52" LCD 1080p, but it'll just be another computer monitor.

I have a 32 inch in my room
Theres a 42 inch in the living room

Phantom - thats a big ass monitor!

Heh.

Heh.

Yeh one right next to me, another in my room, a big one downstairs, been watching it a lot more lately, Sky Movies lately, used to be a loada shit on during the day but thanks to the pin code thing they introduced you can now get some really good films on, Rush Hour was on this afternoon xD

My gaming monitor has a built-in TV tuner thingy, but I dunno how to work it. I don't watch TV anyway, and if there is something I do want to watch on (Peep Show, repeats of stuff on Dave, the occasional film on FilmFour) I'll record on the downstairs TV's HDD.

Yeah, a recently bought 37" HDTV, and a 20" CRT in my room which barely gets any use. Still got the Gamecube connected to it for the occasional blast at Rogue Squadron. Don't watch much TV though, except my daily hour of Friends. I tend to prefer downloading entire seasons of shows and watching them in multiple hour marathons. My monitor's 22" so it's pretty much a secondary TV as it is.

pretty sure you just plug it in. that way you don't need a separate channel changer unit

for example, my TV has a tuner and I just plug the cable from the wall into it. I don't need one of those old school cable TV boxes with the red LED numbers.

I've got a 30" HDTV. I like it because it's widescreen. It was like 70% off, probably because it's a CRT. So it was a good deal, but I kind of wish I would have just spent some more and got a 24" widescreen LCD for my PC, because I use my PC a hell of a lot more.

No, "I" don't have one. My family does, though, and I live with them.

My apartment has one "TV," but it depends what you consider a TV. I have a 24" Widescreen monitor that I use in conjunction with a satellite receiver and TV tuner. It does the job.

Those who say they don't need a TV clearly aren't sports fans. In a few years you'll be able to stream most sporting events, but for now, a TV is still a necessity for sports. That's the only reason I have TV. My TV never switches off of the sports channels.

Hell yea! It'll be better for designing sports cars to have a large view like that. Depending on how well my most recent project does, I might buy 2 & have that for a dual "monitor" setup.

Well, the people I live with do, yes. Legend has it that back when my brother lived here, he spilt Baileys in the old one so it had to be replaced. Only one of us ever use it though.

My family has a few TVs, and I have one small one in my room. I don't watch much TV, though. It's nice to turn on for background noise. Keeps me sane.

Nope. Haven't owned a television since the early 1990s. I'll watch in motel rooms on business trips sometimes though, but usually the Discovery channel or X-Files reruns.

I go into my brother's room to watch TV on his big screen.

Brother: Get the hell out of my room.
Sulk: I wanna watch TV.
Brother: Shh, I can't hear.
Silence, as both brothers watch the telly. Neither can be bothered to make a move against the other.
Brother (hour later): Why aren't you gone?

My parents have several TVs around the house, but I could easily watch freeview on my comp

We have a 40 inch HD telly which I am currently watching the Weakest Link PUPPET SPECTIAL on.

It looked like a a Doctor Who monster. Which now that I mention it...

Naw, the channels need to be properly tuned and stuff, and I really haven't the patience to go through them all, tweaking stuff, when it took me long enough to find the right channel to see my 360 on screen.

Though I wouldn't mind sitting down with it to try and get the video output to work with the Gamecube. I can hear Zelda, but I can't see Zelda. :(

I personally don't have a TV, and I didn't have in my flat - but we had a communal one...

i have a tv but i dont even have it hooked up to cable, i just use it to play n64 and ps2

My friend recently got a 52" HDTV. It's insanely huge.
