She dances while his father plays guitar
She's suddenly beautiful
We all want something

Man I wish I was beautiful
So come dance
this silence down through the mornin'

Duck Hunt? That was the game where you could shot the ducks right? Didnt they come out with a version that allowed you to play on your wall at home a few years ago?

I remember my bro had this big copper slammer. Damn! That shit owned.

Man if you had a slammer then you pwnd every game you played.

Pogs were the greatest. Legalized gambling for children. Back in sixth grade, every recess we were out on the blacktop, gathered in little circles playing. My school was organized, too; at one end of the blacktop you'd have games that were for fun, and generally had low antes. The further along you went, you started getting into the circles that played for keeps, and more pogs were required to chip into the stack. Kids would be walking around the circles, looking over the shoulders of those who were squatting down playing, picking where they thought the best opportunity was.

I remember being a savage too, 'cause I didn't have money for pogs, only a very meager amount were my own. Almost my entire collection was built up off of what I'd won. I remember one game I played where I'd been hovering around the "for keeps" circles for awhile, spied a pretty large stack and got in on it, flipped three-quarters of the stack over. Picked it all up and walked off to another circle. One of the guys called out, "Hey man, you're just gonna take my pogs and walk off?"
"Yep."

Man if you had a slammer then you pwnd every game you played.
How could you play without a slammer?

I miss my slammer. I think about it sometimes. Cold blue steel, heavy-as-you-please, had a yin-yang design etched in black, not painted on top but cut into the metal. Was always lucky for me too. I bought it from a record/memorabilia store back when the fad was at its height and everybody was selling pog stuff. Took me like a month or so to save up for it. I used to stare at it behind the glass case where it was kept almost every day after school (it was on the way) before I could finally afford it.

Damn now I'm all nostalgic.

pogs owned. Also them little monster things that you could flick.

I had pogs, but I never got into them at all. Like...playing with them and such.

I just had them, and that was it. I don't even know what the game was.

And now lets throw in a random quote from the Simpsons as someone has already done:

"Behold! Steve Allen, the ultimate pog!"

Anyways, I was more into Pokemon Cards in grade 5 / some of grade 6. Those were my pogs, kind of. Pogs were out by then though, pogs were grades 1 to 3.

i had pogs, they were teh awesome. me and my brother would play, i'd win, he'd beat the crap outta me, life goes on.

yea they did come up with a newer version, but nothing beats the original

Was there any real way to win if you didnt have a slammer? I think not.

Pokeman cards were screwed up :p

Pokeman cads were lame compared to Pogs. I mean Everyone played pogs. I haterd pokeman.

If only I still had my pogs. I would totally try and bring them back.

OH...and those cool mini cars that all the little kids had, with real battiers and you could drive them where ever. I had the babie Convertable. LOL

I remember the big wheel, gack & rock'em sock'em robots.
You remember those Big Wheels with the watersquirter built into the steering wheel? That was like the greatest vehicle ever. I wish my car now had a water gun built into it.

Gak was also cool. It made good acid blood for the Aliens figures that came out around the same time.
