First off lo all,i decided to pay your site a visit after i played with some of the HL2.net guys yesterday :O ,dont worry i left the AWP in the cupboard.
And so to my point i noticed in Valves packages for HL2 that you will only be entitled to certain games dependent on which package u buy. This strikes me as very strange and im sorry to have to say this but another atempt to get more money from our wallets.Lets take DoD,its free right?or did i miss somthing, there has never been a retail version, its a mod,now according to Valve you have to buy a "silver" package to gain accses to this free mod. This silver package will be more expensive than the basic "bronze" package im assuming so they are in affect now charging for the mod? Now dont get me wrong i dont mind paying for things and i have purchased all of the Valve software relating to Half Life.OF BS CZ and of course HL.So y now do Valve decide its time to start charging? Also for thoes of us who have ATI vouchers they are only entitled to the "bronze" package,so how do they get DoD? do they have to pay for the game again ie buy the silver package. And what about retail sales for people wishing to buy hard copies of the game,in the UK i have seen no indication of "bronze, silver or gold" from retailers and no sign of the collectors addition.
So DoD players who have ATI vouchers have been for want of a better word ripped off as they cant play the game they play and will have to buy HL2 again, this dosent seem right to me what do u think?
Just to clarify DoD is a HL mod so there is no reason to think it wouldnt have come with HL2 retail F.O.C. or downloadable through Steam.
And this is nothing to do with people getting all the games others have purchased in the passed for free with the "gold" package whine,im sure that the "gold" package price will more than make up for that as its clear Valve dont want to give anything away for free.
