Does Call of Duty allow 16-bit colour?

In the demo, it dos't allow that. But what about the retail?

You have a Radeon card don't you? Why on God's green earth would you want to play the game in 16-bit colour?

And you spelt colour wrong if you're American.

Hmm I just went into the game for you, but I cant find an option for that setting... Maybe if u hax a config file you can... Or something.. It might even do it by auto.

3. 16-Bit Color



Call of Duty™ does not support 16-bit color depth and does not provide this option in the menu system. Forcing the game to run in 16-bit color through other means may result in graphic corruption and other issues. To insure you do not inadvertently force the game to 16-bit color, set your desktop's color depth to 32-bit.



1) Open the Control Panel.

2) Double-click Display.

3) Click Settings.

4) Set the color palette to 32-bit.

5) Click Apply, then OK.



NOTE: This issue pertains to 16-bit color, not 16-bit Texture Quality.



4. 16-Bit Textures



Call of Duty™ is optimized for 32-bit (high resolution) color textures. Since most of the textures and art in the game contain a 32-bit color palette, playing the game using the 16-bit texture quality selection only displays half the color information, thus causing some loss in visual quality.

Well, Chris_D, I find my FPS increase when I lower to 16-bit colour, and I'm Canadian so I spell colour with an u and Centre like that.

Well there is a bug for ATi's cards i think that forces the game to operate in 16 bit. I have the f00kin bug i think...

Colour is the only way to spell it. If you spell it "color" I wil come to your house and turn on all your taps, so your water bill is very, very, large.
