Does my mod sound good?

I don't think downloading a modeling program counts as "mod liftoff".

Well, I have GIMP and Blender and XSI and a text editor.

Do I need anything else? Crew? pfff. I'll do it myself.

oh yea, and to me, spending 500 dolars on a modeling program counts as lift off. I guess it will be lift off when the first model is in game though.

Find something more original than Black Mesa or Area 51, and create your own place in which it will occur.

Is this a good place to make up a base at?

I mean, you've got your damn, your lake, your secret base.

No, I'm VERY over confident.

I know, it takes years and years to build games with elaborate teams of hard working individuals.

Well, what can I say. I'm NOT serious about this on any circumstances.

This is for my own self entertainment and learning.

If the mod fails, then it fails. Though, I'll probably reserect it periodically.

Well, thanks for the insight. I've gone from making a scifi mod about a failed Xen invasion to WW3 at a different angle.

I present you with my shitty work in progress gun model.

Have you, uh, thought about making... you know, levels?

yea. I'll learn hammer when I need to.

So far so good. I've made a simple map with doors and triggers in portal.
