Well, I’ve applied to a bunch of places recently. I think it is the wrong time of the year to apply. I think I’ll start back up in early January. That’s about when people should be looking to hire again. If anyone has connections, I could always use some extra help getting me there.

I go to school full time at OU, and work 32 hours a week as an HTS (Habilitation Training Specialist). What is an HTS you say?? Well my not so nice non-PC friends just say I babysit retards... I work with these 3 developmentally disabled guys at there house. I've done it for 3 years as it's a really cool job. I cook, clean, help with chores, etc. I usually play video games with them about 75% of the time, but all they have is a 64 ;( . I used to bring one of them to my house cause he loved to just watch me play computer games hours on end, but then the nazi case manager found out so I can't anymore. Kinda BS if you ask me as the guys mom has no problem with him going to my house. This isn't the job for everybody though because sometimes there's some really gross stuff you can encounter in this field. I have to really watch what i say at work. I say this because away from work I use the word retard alot. I've yet to slip up and say retard around my clients but I would feel really bad if I ever slipped.

It's not what I want to do for a career, but it's a good job for me while I'm in school. I wasn't sure if I would like it, but now I just consider the guys I work for as buddies. I wouldn't mind doing that for a career, but there's no money in it. I'm not trying to be greedy, I just want to be able to adaquately support a family some day. I just applied to dental school... We'll see if that works out.
So what are you going to grad school for Timmy?

P.S. I am working at small store, well I am a college student after all, good payment and all. One bad thing, it is a graveyard shift, so I only have around 5 hours of sleep each day

Sorry... I guess I don't know much about meteorites. I thought martian may have meant theres some form of life found in it like some bacteria spores or something. I'm not exactly sure the definition of martian. I always just thought it meant an alien life. Can you tell how much i know about this topic!!!:bounce:

heh, martian just means "of mars", in this case, meteorites from mars. ALH84001 is the martian meteorite that raised all the hoopla about life on mars. there are some unusual mineral formations in it that some people thought were traces of ancient life. pretty much no real scientist still believes that there's evidence for life in ALH84001, though i'm sure you can find lots of websites by people who still believe in it.. like that face on mars that some people still believe in. be skeptical, but don't be retar.. uh wait.. is your case manager there?? :thumbs:

I never even read the quotes in your sig. What was the quote? Was it a sentence I devised in one of the bush bashing threads??? I recall using bad structure in a sentence and someone making note of it. I can't remember if that was you. That thread was pretty funny....
