doom3 on ati 9600

as the 9800 pro will run farcry on max detail on my pc, with around 30fps, i dont think hl2 will be more demanding as farcry is pretty much the most power hungry game ever released. hl2 used a software mod to stick a 20,000 polygon wall and turn it into 1 polygon, which will help frame rates incredibly. thats why the minimum specs are so low.

be aware that we cant say anything about how the game will run, as it hasnt eveb been released ffs (cmon valve move it!). as doom3 is coming out in august (touch wood), if running that is a breeze or very well, then hl2 will be amazing.

is 9800xt > than x800 ??

Eh, isnt the X800 supposed to be 2x faster than the 9800XT?

As for the topic, all video cards starting from GeForce 4 MX and above should perform brillently on Doom 3. And i hope it will be the same as Half Life 2
