Dota 2 "Haunted Colosseum" Halloween Gamemode Released

With Diretide now a distant memory, this year's Halloween-themed festivities for Dota 2 are focused around "The Haunted Colosseum", a new custom gamemode created by Valve. As originally previewed months ago during a teaser for the Reborn beta, The Haunted Colosseum is a 5v5 battle for "territorial control", with teams attempting to capture control points while avoiding "devilish traps, and warrior behemoths", as highlighted in the video below.

Although light on content, this year's Halloween event for Dota 2 did revamp areas of the custom games hub to make it easier to find matches while also introducing the "Tribute of the Sharpened Feather" chest for Fall Compendium owners. Other changes hidden within the ridiculously long changelog include over 800 new announcer lines specifically designed for use in Custom Games, nerfs to Doom and Broodmother as part of the 6.85b balance patch, and a new hub for view, rename, and manage downloaded replays.

What a pleasant surprise, too bad I quit Dota 2 a year back.
