I watch it.

Should I be embarrassed or proud?

It's the only good thing on british television... Everything else is either reality TV crap, Soap crap or home make over crap.

Plus daleks are really cool ¬_¬

I started watching it recently. I was surprised to find the Doctor who looks like a gangster. And I finaly learned WTF a police box is. When is the Christmas episode?

You did take cannibis before watching it, did you?

Every person here know that to take the stuff before watching it.

Seriously, it depends which episode you watch, some are actually good

I was just reading some facts about the show and I never knew there are over 710 episodes of doctor who and the amount of deaths occured in the show are 810 and that's only onscreen, it's probably another 250 for off screen... and this is supposed to be a family show?

Why should you be embarrassed? It's a TV show. :\

I'm really looking forward to the new series. Cybermen! Hooray!

hell, they even kill off the Doctor the whole time.

I'm watching both the classic and the new seiries. Saw the 6th episode of the new one yesterday - surprisingly good.

Although i still don't like Rose Tyler. Bit like Bridget Jones.

Remembrance of the Daleks with Slyvestor McCoy was always my favourite Dr Who episode. Or Death to the Daleks. Great stuff.

Why does the Doctor always decide to take a human companion?

You've spent a near-eternity in the endless abyss of space and time with your entire species destroyed. And you're somewhat eccentric. Wouldn't you?

True, and there's smething about him wanting to show them the glories of other worlds.

The only thing i disliked about the new season {Note: Havn't seen the newest Episodes} was that they went back in time, more than out to space or different worlds.

You wouldn't have liked the 3rd doctor then. He was stuck pretty much entirely on earth.

The new season is great, the 9th doctor is awesome. They didn't really go to other worlds, yeah, mostly they hung around earth. Still really good stuff. I want to see some cybermen - they're the next big thing.

Yer, i have to catch up with all of the new season. I missed a few that were on TV. Might by {hopefully get it for x-mas} the DVD...

Cybermen you say?

You should see the pictures of them out at the moment... they look AWESOME.

And K-9 is back, too! And Trigger from Only Fools And Horse as an nemesis to the Doctor. :D

Woo!

Daleks should be back, but there's going to be a bit of legal wrangling first - they're not bbc (intellectual) property, apparently.

Was it an episode?

Which Doctor?

No, it was just a porn film, but it was entirely legal because Daleks aren't copyrighted.

Yeah, it hasn't been released. I hope it doesn't either. Blegh.

So... thoughts on tonights episode? I liked it. I look forward to the Spring.

Daleks aren't copyrighted? Wha? They're not copyrighted to the BBC, but they're copyrighted to some company. There are a lot of disputes going on over it - for example, the ABC over here in Australia has no access to any episodes that have Daleks in them because of the copyright disputes. They belong - *ducks into wikipedia* - to Terry Nation, or the Estate of Terry Nation. Or something.

Saw the second half of the Chrismas one. I prefered the old Doctor, he was a bit badass.

Terry Nation/Daleks and BBC kind of blend together because they've worked together so long or something, so I guess either has the choice. I really don't know. What I do know is that neither Terry or the BBC want this smut to be shown.

I hope.

I cringed at the new Doctor wuite a bit. Too happy. Although the other one was too. I preferred the older Doctors' style like Pertwee's or Baker's, but whatever. Its all good.

I don't get why people like this. I watched the christmas episode and it was pretty cringeworthy. The doctor himself is a smarmy sarcastic twit, and I'm not sure how anyone could like him. His fight with the guy at the end was cringeworthy because of all his one-liners and talking.

Lets not even mention the special effects.

Since when has Dr. Who been famed for the best looking stuff?
I also found the new Doctor to be annoying "Ooo, a big red button! Let's press it!"

I have a question regarding Dr. Who...
I (my parents) own this video, called "dr. who and the curse of fatal death" starring rowan atkinson, as, I believe, dr. who himself. Although I have never seen the tv show (or watched this tape, for that matter) I suspect that the dr. who in the show, is not played by rowan atkinson. can someone clear this up for me?

the copywright on the back says 1999, if that helps at all.

That is a christmas charity event, i think, where a whole bunch of people played the Doctor and all his various incarnations, including Rowan Atkinson and Hugh Grant. I think it was for 'children in need'? Not sure.

Also, I haven't seen the christmas events. ABC didn't buy the rights.

Hmmm the christmas episode was a bit crappy but then i guess it was alrite for christmas tv, something to watch n was kinda entertaining...

I can pinpoint the sections of the Christmas special I actually really enjoyed, and that was after the stupid Christmas minions left up to when the Doctor was revived by the tea/fusion generator reaction. So yeah, basically when Tennant wasn't in it. I didn't really enjoy the previous series, but Eccleston makes a far better Doctor. At least it actually looked like they threw some money at the show this time, although that may just be for the special. The mothership floating through the sky was glorious. Christ, also, I can't be the only one that wants to stab Rose's mother in the face, can I? There's a certain air about her acting and character that really makes the programme feel tacky.

She's very... very... stereotypical english, isn't she?

Depending on which stereotype, of course.
