They're smart little bastards.

I fed them my leftover lunch yesterday, and I guess they watched me as I walked back home, and saw which door I went into.

So now every 10 or 20 minutes, since yesterday, i've had a swarm of about 25 ducks standing outside my door, waiting for me to feed them.

Bastards.

This reminds me of a kipper episode.

Kipper is some orange dog kids show. The same thing happened to him.
Only he didnt say bad things. :3
youtube it.
Heres an, apparently, perverted part. lawl.

I really hope I dont derail this thread.

It's obvious that you must fatten them up and have a roast.

Lunch?

I'm thinking of opening my door and putting food inside of my house, then waiting till one of them gets brave enough to run in, and slamming the door shut on him, thusly trapping him in my home.

Then i'll wrestle him down, zip tie a plastic baggie to his rear, and let him walk around my house.

:D!

You'd better take some damn pictures.

THEY'RE BACK!

Quick HL2.net, what should I do???

Lead them back to the old pond with food. Then run.

So far away.

Lol, so I fed them for a while at my doorstep, and waited for them to leave.

Once they did, I hid behind a bush, and put some bread out onto the sidewalk, and waited for them.

After a few minutes one of them got brave and ran out of the pack to grab the bread, and then the rest of them followed, and RIGHT as his head shot out to grab the bread, I stuck my hand out and snatched it back.

They all looked around and were like "WOAH", "WTF???", and left.

Don't feed them at your doorstep again.

Otherwise they'll think of you as a reliable food source.

Maybe you can use one of them as a gourmet dinner?

I found a nice little secluded spot not too far from my house, but still on the waters edge, found a little dish floating around, and wrote in permanent ink "for the ducks, www.halflife2.net", filled the dish with bread and food, and then hid it at the spot.

Then I sprinkled bird food all around to try to attract them.

I can't decide if I should keep going back and filling up the dish though. It'd be fun, sure, but I don't want them to stop hunting, and then when I stop feeding them, the little flock dies off because they don't know how to hunt :(

Maybe i'll only fill up the dish once a week. That way they know "hey, there's some food over there on mundays!", but know that it's not always going to be there.

You'll have to keep doing it. Forever.

Wai D: ???

I figure if I don't put enough food to last them the whole week, then they still have to hunt and fish and stuff, so when I stop, they know what to do.

Doing it once is fine, but once every week and they'll probably just depend off of it.

kk :)

I was thinking i'd do it just to get them to hang out around here more often, but now that I think about it, they've sort of always wandered around my neighborhood.

EDIT: looks like there's this lady that comes by every day with her daughter and feeds them. I won't bother doing any more harm :\

they are not waiting to be fed, congratulations, you have become their leader, show them the way of world domination

Rally as many as you can to defend your homestead, before the Fury of the North comes to invade your home.

We used to feed all the cats in our neighborhood, (I love cats) and, honestly, a few extra bucks a week for more cat food isn't a lot. Well, that is until my own two cats started freaking out when they came near the door. They would hiss and growl at the windows including high screaming noises at four in the morning. I couldn't sleep, so I stopped. Hope they're alright.

We've already got the evolutionary offspring of those:

Ducks are cool. I just run at them and yell "DUCK****DUCK****DUCK****", when they don't fly away I give them bread.
Sometimes people stare.

I told you not to feed them, Sinko, now we have them on our internets!

My powers are duck-proof. D:

Perhaps we must enlist the help of this man:
