what are you waiting to see that you know/think/hope will be there?
know: HL2, Stalker, serious sam 2
think: More Unreal engine 3, doom 3
hope: Quake 4
annd...well...i dont know if i can say this last game because it hasn't oficially been announced

There have been hints that SS3 might be forthcoming. Back in 2K2 Irrational games was offering a AI programmer position, for the: "...design and implementation of sophisticated tactical FPS AI for one or more PC/Xbox titles." -- experience with Unreal engines a 'bonus'. Recently Warren Spector has been rumoured to be talking to old developers/staff from LGS and IG.

So if it appears it'll probably be another wonderfull quality, 'streamlined'-gameplay XPox port... :LOL: Mind you Harvey Smith has left Ion Storm, so there's hope of a miracle yet...

quake 4 has been officially annouced 3 years ago.

they are going to show it at the quakeCON this year

Yep those games are definatly the ones im gonna be eyeballing, and quake 4 is being made on the Doom3 engine, i dont know much about it except for its gonna be a new quake game to come out sometime after DOOM3
 
So is iDSoftware planning on to make an appearance at E3? I didn't see iD in the official E3 list, but I did see Activision. If they're not coming, this could mean Doom3 is just round the corner :O

Oh, and by the way, I don't think Quake4 is going to be shown at E3, because Raven Software is not on the list either. Quake goodness will be spared for Quakecon 2004 then ;)

by that logic, Hl2 is not then :(

Im looking more forward to HL2 than I ever will be for Doom3.
 
Its scary to think that by the time E3 rolls around i will have handed in all my coursework and i will have completed my art exam...
 
i want Quake 4 alot more than doom 3, cause i heard that raven is working on it, and they know how to use engines full potential(look how much better Soldier of Fortune 2 looked compared to Q3). And the concept art looked awesome...i wanna see it in game
 
By concpet art you mean the three year old pic of the Gladiator from Quake2? Yeah, that sure made me want the game so much! Ok, sorry for being a smart ass :)

Quake4 has surely been well hidden in the shadows. Almost as good as HL2. only difference that Quake4 was apparenlty announced right after it had been started developing. For HL2 that took 5 years :)
 
I cannot wait for E3 and I won't even be going. If anyone here wants to know a good place to get all the info and see the live conferences and stuff, I suggest getting a subscription to Gamespot Complete for that month since it's only $6, or you could try IGN Insider or whatever it's called but I can't vouch for their coverage. I signed up for GS Complete last may for E3 and they went all out, I even kept the subscription ever since.

Games I'm looking forward to most are the big shooters (Hl2, Halo 2, Stalker etc), Metroid Prime 2, Resident Evil 4, Starcraft Ghost and probably many more that I can't think of at the moment. Not to mention whatever suprises are revealed.
 
HL2, Matrix Online, CoD:UO, HL2, Tribes Veangeance,TFT2, HL2, Serious Sam 2, and ofcourse HL2!11!11oneonen!!!

I can't wait for E3, last year I DL'd just under 2GB of game footage.
 
I'm hoping capcom is making another breath of fire game. And I hope square-enix is making another chrono game.
Do japanese games usually make appearances and announcements at E3? or is it more likely at TGS or whatever its called.
 
What do you think will be the plot for Quake4? I have a feeling it will continue from were Quake2 ended. You remember the ending demo, where the marine's hand was shown raising from the ship wreck.

Anyhow, I forgot all about Dungeon Siege 2.. and that's making an appearance at E3 :)

still, it looks like it could be a unique ww2 shooter.. but looks may be decieving. guess we'll find out more at e3
 
i think brothers in arms is a source engine title.... just you wait and see.

looks like source, gearbox is an ex-partner of valve's, gearbox is being "tight-lipped on technical details"

it really makes the game sound like a step up from those generic ww2 games (MOH, CoD, etc.)
 
Spiffae, I'm pretty sure it uses the Unreal engine used with UT2004.
