Early Wii launch

/insert premature ejaculation joke here

I think I might buy this if I can get my hands on a projector.

Trying to convince some kid that the new name was a good decision ultimately and that we all stopped laughing at the jokes two months ago, then you laugh at one. :p

Ah well.

Alas....I have the mind of a fool.
I take one step forward and two steps back with every post on this forum. :)

Anyone know a link to the announced launch titles other then Twilight Princess,Mario and Metroid?

I might get it if there are actually titles worth playing but as I have never played a Zelda,Mario or Metroid game(Bar Mario on the game boy and a 10 minute romp with the origional Zelda) and none of them interest me much from the screens and movies.

Now if one of those aforementioned 16 launch titles had something of interest I might just buy my first Nintendo machine(God damn nintendo and their cheap console. Taking me away from my precious Sony,Forgive me master I'm weak)

I missed all the wii jokes, so I have to make my own D:

wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiD:

As of June 22, these were the only confirmed launch titles, but more will come as it draws closer:

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz
Red Steel
Rayman Raving Rabbits

Good lord

If these games hold no interest for you then a wii may not be the best choice. The greatest games to appear on Nintendo consoles have always been their first party titles - the best of which being Zelda, Mario and Metroid.

Seriously, how can you not have played these games? :rolling:

I weep for the PlayStation generation.

Yeah, I remember getting up at around 5:30 am so I could get a couple of hours of The Legend of Zelda in before I had to catch the bus to school...those were the days. ;(

While TP will probably be a great game, I've never really had a chance to get into any Zelda games (Except for Link's Awakening, but I could never be bothered to finish it).

So even though I'll likely get Wii as my first(And possibly only) next-gen console, I doub't I'll get it until at least Super Mario Galaxy comes out; Even though there are plenty of GC games I want to catch up on and VC games I plan on getting, I don't think they're enough to pull me in for a Mario-less launch.

I used to do that every day when I first got Ocarina of time!

Other news organizations have been reporting this, so it should be out shortly or at least there won't be as bad of a console shortage as the 360 and probably the PS3.

I hope Monkey Ball is good on the wii. The original on the GC is one of my fave games, but the sequal and the versions on the GBA and DS suck.

Other than that - Metroid and Zelda for launch \o/

I hope they have table tennis / pong on release. It's like... Perfect!

I think that's in Wii Sports.
Im getting Metroid 3, monkeyball and wii sports at launch atleast.

I thought they said Mario Galaxy wasn't a launch title but that it would come within a few months of release or something.

Last I heard that was speculation. People were saying that $250 would be a fair price for the Wii if it came with Wii Sports and an extra controller or something. I think that'd be fair as well.

Wii Sports is a generally limited game compared to other titles they offer so I don't doubt it'll sell at $20 if it's not paired with the console.

I thought Wii sports comes with the sytem.
I'm pretty sure WarioWare:smooth moves would be included if any game is. I can see them selling Wii sports separately though.

edit:this interview says they have not yet decided if Wii Sports will be in a bundle. Seems like it will be sold by itself so far.
