Earth to be hit by asteroid in 2029?

The Tsar Bomba was one huge bomb, and apparently had they used a different firing mechanism it would of been twice the power.

Either way, we wouldn't have to actually destroy the asteroid in question. At most we would have to roll a glancing blow against its armour then we can stun the crew and knock it off course. Er, sorry too much 40k. What I meant was, all we need to do is detonate a few nukes next to it, so as it is diverted away from its current course.

Of course it would suck if we screwed up the calculations and we diverted it straight into Earth. :D

Are we even sure nukes DO anything in space?

Don't worry; MECHA-BREEN will save us!

Edit: LOL Mecha-Breen

Wanna know a boring way to deflect the asteroid? Land a bunch of probes on them designed to push the asteroid out of the way.

LOL Stigmata you found the same asteroid photo:LOL:

Remus and RJMC are a combination of win and clitoris rubbing.

Anyway, just shoot the asteroid with a microwave.

must defend my copyrights

ATTACK

300 meters versus roughly 12,000 kilometers....

I think our chances of survival are pretty good.

Edit: If it does hit earth, theres a good chance it'll land in water.
Haven't you ever seen the movies? It'll still kill us. ;(

;)

*Dexter voice*: Nooooooo!!! My beautiful satellite, it is ruined!

Imagine something that big hitting the Earth....

:O

I mean...it'd be like, the explosion alone would just kill everything on Earth I think.

Scary

We could multiply it by like, 10^100, then it's just be a ton of teensy weensy asteroids that burn up on contact with the atmosphere.

With our luck, we'd still die...an asteroid would come from the other direction and hit us then :(
