Earthquake in Haiti

why do you insist on visiting that forum Raz?
Do you like getting upset? lol

I like to know what the gun crazy, revolution crazy, secession crazy right is thinking so I can stay on top of the ball. Those guys aren't the craziest, but they do a good job of parroting whatever hot topic is on the mind of the radical right.

You know you are lying Raziaar. You just want to watch the train wreck. You read the pure idiocy on there and you have a good laugh. Isn't that the truth ?

That's another benefit.

There is some sick twisted pleasure in seeing people go absolutely insane over trivial things, like their world is going to come crashing down in a hail of government cheese.

All while people are having their worlds crashing down in the real sense in Haiti... and all they can bitch about is there being too much coverage of it? jesus christ.

The news networks are now saying that the death toll in Haiti is also an American tragedy. They're are saying that the earthquake may have killed more Americans than September 11th. There are over 5,500 Americans still missing, and it's been noted that not many Americans have been pulled from the rubble.

Holy shit. That's an insane number. I wouldn't imagine that many Americans were in the country.

It's really sad to see that governments are sending loads and loads of money to Haiti even though there own country has problems.

Take the uk for example. 50,000 pensioners will die prematurely because they can't afford heating for the winter. The total death toll in europe will be over 100,000, yet the European parliament just keeps giving the money away.

Where do you get your numbers that 50,000 old people will freeze to death? That sounds absolutely bogus.

God damn you're stupid.

right, morons have allready started to exploit the scene en masse by pillaging and plundering, no surprise there, but now the feces has thoroughly collided with the cooling device.

CITE SOLEIL, Haiti (Reuters) - Heavily armed gang members who once ran Haiti's largest slum like warlords have returned with a vengeance since Tuesday's earthquake damaged the National Penitentiary allowing 3,000 inmates to break out.

If large-scale violence erupts here amid the chaos and looting that has grown by the hour in Port-au-Prince since the temblor, it could pose a major challenge to efforts to reestablish law and order throughout the Haitian capital.

Cite Sole's gang leaders are larger-than-life criminals. The stuff of urban legend and popular Haitian rap songs, they are now seen as a breed apart from other Haitians in that they alone benefited from the Tuesday's disaster.

Mounted on motorcycles, and brandishing assault rifles and guns thought to have been stripped from prison guards during the quake, the gang members include one stone-cold killer known only by the street name "Blade."

"They got out of prison and now they're going around trying to rob people," said Cite Soleil resident Elgin St. Louis, 34. "Last night they spent the whole night shooting," she added.

looting in a disaster scene, in one of the poorest countries in the world, is reportedly a highly profitable business. then again I don't think that's their main goal, so i wonder what truly is their strategic plan. perhaps swimming to South America?

Haiti's National Police Chief Mario Andresol had a different opinion, even as he acknowledged the escaped gang members posed a serious security risk.

"My message to all those armed bandits that are trying to take advantage of this situation is that we will arrest them just as we did in the past," Andresol told Reuters.

"We are in the process of taking appropriate measures to hunt down these criminals," he said.

I feel bad for the police force in Haiti... there's like what, 11 cops in the entire country? against 3000 depraved criminals. :|

the "in the process of" part also worries me. maybe the US of A must intervene, with the most powerful army in the world the western might can blast these miscreants into oblivion.

Wow, I never wouldve thought that. Also, its really sad to hear about a country that has already gone through such hard times is now having to deal with criminals running rampant in the streets.

i don't really want to insult you but what the **** dude...:|

i think the US should just take a bunch of the people out of Haiti for now and set them up in some temporary housing. if you get a massive amount of people out of that devastated area, you can help a lot more people at the same time. also how hard is it to make a second airport with a base??

ya, let's try that

Internment Camps

no but i hear what you're saying but financially it makes no sense, assuming the quakes are over.

I DONATED MY MONIES MEDIA, NOW LEAVE ME ALONE! :frown:

F***. I could literally feel my IQ dropping reading this.

and on top of that, did the haitians help anyone after hurricane Katrina? or did they send any help to the disaster scene of the Indian Ocean earthquake in 2004? i think not. selfish bastards... why should we help them either.

You'll be laughing on the other side of your face when Haiti is the only country that can save you from the saucer men from the horsehead nebula. Except you won't. No, you won't be laughing at all.

Why would someone from the horsehead nebula come over here? It's so much prettier where they are.

They abhor all beautiful things. Now I come to think of it, Seppo might have nothing to worry about.

So are Haitians good at Damage or something?

I actually have no idea. I remember in GTA:VC the Haitians were basically the same as the Cubans only with different clothing, so possibly a study of the Cuban economy, social foundation and defense infrastructure would yield clues.

It's not selfish. Infact the Haitians have it right. Why the hell would they send aid to other countries when there OWN country needs every cent it can get. Why would they send aid when there own country has problems? It's the same with every other country in the world. Why send aid to another country, when your OWN country has problems.

In my country the public hospitals are in big trouble, they desperately need upgrading, yet we are sending millions of dollars over seas to the Haitians. What about my fellow countrymen dieing in hospital waiting rooms? Is my government, the government of the people in my country or are they the government of every other country?

If there was no problems whatsoever, sure money should be sent to help other countries, but when your own country has problems the money should be spent there.

Just think about this, what happened 200 years ago? What happened when there was a huge natural disaster? All the other countries would not come in and help and give aid. The people affected would just have to get up and rebuild things, but now they are just relying on everyone else.

What the **** is your deal? Was your mother kidnapped and gang raped by a group of Haitians? There are literally thousands of people buried under rock and cement right now and your advice to Haiti is "dig yourself out?"

fail.

Just ignore the troll. Surely someone couldn't be that stupid, right?

...right?;(

What i am saying is that hundreds of years ago, would there be anyone to help them? No. They would of had to do everything themselfs.

Yeah, it's called progress.

And that clearly isn't what you were saying.

Hundreds of years ago this kind of flash aid wasn't possible at all, so what's your point?

Also: hundreds of years ago population densities were not so high and the crises would probably not be so bad.

As many as 200,000 people died in the earthquake that devastated Haiti
The commission now estimates 2 million homeless
250,000 are in need of urgent aid.
200,000 people - friends and family of other victims - need to be buried. 2 million people without food, water, and shelter. 250,000 in need of rescue and emergency medical treatment, yet all of the hospitals collapsed.

Also, hundreds of years ago it was commonplace to kick the shit out of your slaves if they were too slow. Not everything in humanity's past is something worth admiring, xdrive.

200 years ago it took weeks or months to travel from continents. So giving aid in those times were not possible. I like to believe in this day and age we are a bit more humanitarian than that.

i heard this on the radio and immediately dismissed it...i can't believe coke saved her life. Let's wait and see if they put this in their ads...

"Buy Coke, it could save your life!" (picture of person trapped under rubble taking a large gulp of soda and jumping out beneath the 20 tons of debris.)

DRINK COKE!

*high fives the rescue team, turns into human tornado and saves the rest of the people.

From what I heard she didn't drink Coke at all, she drank water from a bathtub.

well it's going to be hard to sell bath tubs

I wonder why Clarky isn't here telling us about the Earthquake Machine.
