episode 2 will not display at all

hi all,

I made a change to the screen res to try and speed up hl eps 2 and now the game will not display at all. i get the monitor system message popping up saying it cant support the display. i deleted eps 2 and reinstalled it and the same behavior is there.

Is there a way to start eps 2 in safe mode to undo the changes i put in it?

Right click on it in steam and hit properties. Find the "command line" bit and add
-width 1024 -height 768
Should let you in after that.

Have you got it set to the correct ratio for you monitor, i had to change the ratio to widescreen.
