hey guys. i came to tell ye that valve sucks. all der games r broken and they take forever to release new ones. I mean wtf, *makes point*, *talks out ass*, *disses other people's views*. **** yuo!
 
well you know how they are racists because nobody in hl2 is black

H5 is awesome, I've been following it since ... well .. H1. I beleive it's in the Dark Messiah of might and magic storyline, too.

I feel bad for ditching the 2d graphics, though :LOL:
 
portal/tf2/ep2 wouldve been realeased months ago if it wasnt for the console ports. valve had better realease ep3 a bit faster or your average (non-hl2 fan) gamer is going to lose interest pretty fast.

****ing hate it when people blame the console ports for the delays, its complete idiocy.
 
If they could have released it sooner they would have, I hate people who bad mouth valve, without them there would never have been a half life.
 
PS3 does truly delay the game. GTA IV was told that it was delayed because of PS3 coding. Same probably with Ep2.

Valve is much like GSC Game World, they give release date when they have just started working on the game, and then delay it all the time.

It may have delayed the PS3 version, but the reason the Orange Box isn't out is because it isn't finished.

I remember an old interview with Gabe where he slated the PS3 and said something about the hyper-threading in making it difficult to code. If the console versions are slowing it down though, I don't really mind because they broaden the market for Valve so much, especially to people who don't have a good enough PC but do have a console.

EA is doing the PS3 port.

The 360 is not too dissimilar to a PC which is why you see a lot of 360 games get ported to the PC.

Indeedy, and yeah I remember that Gabe interview. He said the PS3 was a disaster on so many levels. Sony haven't a ****ing clue nowadays.

Something tells me Im going regret saying that.

well actually, i think you're wrong. its the console versions that are delaying it. they arnt releasing it for pc now because they want a worldwide release on all formats.

if you were correct the 3 versions would have 3 different release dates. i think the pc version has been finished for a while, sure they mightve been adding a bit of polish, nothing gamechanging tho. meanwhile the quite massive job of console ports has been taking place.

Episode 2 isn't finished. The console versions are not holding the PC version back. They would not have been done months ago. Therefore, you're wrong.
 
Hasn't Valve said somewhere that the console ports are, at most, a week behind the PC version?

Please. The games are still in active tweaking and playtesting.

In any case, I'd rather get an eight hour 'expansion' in 1.7 years than wait a full 6 years for 14 hours.

Also, Valve said that the consolse are a week behind yes. Also, Samon is god, never argue with him.
